Daphne is a modern American style restaurant, lounge, and garden terrace in the heart of Toronto's Financial District. Daphne offers American cuisine with a contemporary twist, skillfully curated by Executive Stuart Cameron. The menu showcases seasonal American classics, complemented by an array of small bites, handcrafted cocktails, and an extensive wine list, all presented within an elegant and modern ambiance. At the heart of the culinary offerings are two authentic wood-fired grills, infusing a distinct flavor into each dish. Locally sourced ingredients, along with local and imported seafood, are expertly grilled over live coals, ensuring a tantalizing dining experience. I recently visited Daphne for the second time, and celebrated by birthday. One key factor for me recommending this spot and for me coming back time after time is the consistency. The food, service, ambiance and vibe is my type. An elegant intimate space that is not too crowded but spacious enough to accommodate the ideal amount of guests to help curate a beautiful and memorable experience. It's also no huge surprise that I've gravitate to this spot as Daphne is managed under the same umbrella as some of my other favourites - Bisha, Oliver Bonicini and Sofia. Once again, the consistency is on point.

This was the first time for my spouse and I but it won’t be our last. The decor is inviting and the food was delicious albeit a bit pricey, especially the wines. The service really was outstanding, particularly from our waiter “Sammy” who was attentive and had some helpful suggestions about the menu items. All staff were very welcoming.
