Daphne is a modern American style restaurant, lounge, and garden terrace in the heart of Toronto's Financial District. Daphne offers American cuisine with a contemporary twist, skillfully curated by Executive Stuart Cameron. Overall good experience. The service could have been better. Server was low energy and barely present. Food was excellent all around. Especially enjoyed the beef tartare!

I went for the seafood pasta and it was great! The restaurant is beautiful all round I must say. Although we had really poor service from multiple waiters 😔. For a restaurant of such quality I would have hoped to have waiter that actually listens to our requests/concerns. He was dismissive and it felt like we were being rushed. It was also my friends birthday and I communicated that request to them, however it was not fulfilled but we noticed other tables being celebrated. 100% did not enjoy my time here and doubt I will be visiting again. 0 points for service :(

The little gem salad was one of the best salads I’ve ever had. It was so filling and it wasn’t messy to eat at all. We got seated in the lounge, which is the most intimate and quiet place of the restaurant. This area was not loud, however the main dining room was pretty noisy. there was a big issue with washrooms as there were only a few and that there was a long way especially around a high traffic time. Our waiter was excellent, and he was so kind.

I recently visited Daphne for the second time, and celebrated by birthday. One key factor for me recommending this spot and for me coming back time after time is the consistency. The food, service, ambiance and vibe is my type. An elegant intimate space that is not too crowded but spacious enough to accommodate the ideal amount of guests to help curate a beautiful and memorable experience. It's also no huge surprise that I've gravitate to this spot as Daphne is managed under the same umbrella as some of my other favourites - Bisha, Oliver Bonicini and Sofia. Once again, the consistency is on point.
