From the owner of David's (Portland, ME), 388 is a comfortable and casual neighborhood nook where diners can enjoy a range of bold flavors. Both restaurants share the signature of Chef/Owner David Turin, and David's 388 is built "by the Chef, for the Chef." Every week, David's 388 thrills the palette with new dishes that have both creative and traditional influences spanning the width of the globe. The restaurant seats 42 including seating at a Chef’s counter overlooking the kitchen.

    Delightful meal, as always, at David’s 388! But this one was especially lovely : we were given one of our fave tables at the window, overlooking the sidewalk and DiPietros… there were string lights overhead and the snow was falling outside. It felt magical. Service was absolutely wonderful- from the host at the door, to our server, to the food runner who brought our meals! So friendly and thoughtful. This is exactly why we love this little neighborhood gem. xo

    We had a wonderful table by the window. The service was exceptional and very attentive. Everything from drinks, appetizers, entrees, and dessert was very timely. The food was absolutely delicious and served perfectly. We would definitely go back again and highly recommend David’s 388!

    Had a wonderful dining experience here for the second time. The food was terrific and they more than accommodated my dairy allergy. Although I wanted to bring my wine, I was discouraged as the pork charge was a bit high but the wine they had was very good so I didn’t mind. We sat at the chefs counter, and it was a wonderful experience

    I had a generous portion of the focaccia crusted haddock, which was delicious! I would recommend it. My husband had the burger—good, as always.

    My husband and I came to celebrate his birthday. We shared the beef carpaccio appetizer. He had the filet mignon and I had the seafood pappardelle. So delicious! Lexi was our waitress and she was lovely. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back. Thank you!!

    Great meal, as good as Fore St, and Scales. Excellent menu of choices and all cooked perfectly. It’s worth going over the bridge.

    We were seated at the "bar" that surrounds the kitchen and really enjoyed witnessing the excellent team in action! The staff is friendly and professional and the food was elegant. We felt right at home. It was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday!
