Nestled in the picturesque and historic Holme Valley; tucked away between ancient woodland and the gentle ebb and flow of the winding River Holme… lies Devour, a stone’s throw away from the cobbled streets of Holmfirth.

We’re located in a beautifully restored former Wood Turning Mill and Dyehouse, with Riverside Garden and Wild Flower Meadow, with decor embracing our post-modern industrial heritage with the warmth and energy of an Italian Piazza.

    When my brother and his husband visit from London they always request we dine with you and every time we have a lovely time, in a fab space with amazing food! All the staff are kind and friendly and go above and beyond x

    The atmosphere was wonderful from the minute we walked in Devour, the staff were friendly and attentive. The food was excellent although a little more expensive than we would normally pay as were the drinks, but for this special occasion it was well worth it.

    We visit regularly, special occasions with family and friends and intimate lunches, the seasonal menu is incredible and so refreshing. The service is second to none. We always go out of our comfort zone and try the different options on the menu, albeit not always to our taste but incredibly put together and never poor quality. This is the best place to go and will always have a special place In our hearts.

    We had a lovely dining experience, the food was delicious, it was hot (and the plates were warm - big tick) and the staff were welcoming, friendly and we were dedicated one waitress, who was also welcoming, polite and informative and provided us with an outstanding service. We will definitely be going back.

    Decent food. Service not as attentive as you’d like at that price point. Asked for horseradish sauce to go with rare roast beef. Never arrived. Had to walk to the bar from the restaurant to get another drink - though the bar staff did immediately oblige. Like I said, decent food all round, but not quite 5 starts. Would go again though for another try.

    Always a pleasure to eat here. Fillet Steak was superb. Love the staff and they still had time for us when the restaurant was full. Thanks we will be back xx

    An enjoyable afternoon catching up with a friend, first visit to Devour and certainly will not be the last. We had the lunchtime set price menu which I can highly recommend. Food, service and ambiance were excellent.
