With its spectacular waterfront setting on Mission Bay, nautical-inspired design, and a menu of mouthwatering dishes, Dockside 1953 is a favorite restaurant for hotel guests and locals alike. Aptly named for its marina-facing locale at the Bahia Resort Hotel and the year the resort opened, Dockside 1953 is a stunning standout in San Diego’s dining scene.                                                   food was not good. we ordered a steak, and it was overpriced, poorly cooked, rubbery, and chewy. The brocoli might as well could have eaten it straight from the farm where it grew. It was not cleaned out all. kids menu is overpriced, might as well order from the regular menu. The regular menu doesn't have that many options. The staff is really nice and top-notch. Location is fabulous.

                                                  We were there to celebrate a marriage. It was rated highly and we were not disappointed. The food was outstanding and a great wine selection reasonably priced. We sat outside and the ambience was magical.

                                                  The views and ambience are incredible, but the hostess stand is exceptionally slow and the service has never been good. I had to ask twice for a children’s menu and the drinks and food take a long time and don’t come together. The prices are very high for such a disorganized place with average food.

                                                  They had a pre fixe menu for Valentine's Day, and every course was special and delicious. The staff were outstanding and the attention to needs without being "too much" was absolutely perfect. At the end of our meal the manager came by our table to ask about our experience and made sure we left happy. Truly an above-and-beyond dining experience for us!
