The award-winning Tea Room at Doddington Hall offers an exquisite Afternoon Tea experience that promises to be a treat for everyone. With an array of options, it's a perfect setting for indulging in a leisurely afternoon with friends or loved ones.

Nestled in the Coach House under the magnificent gaze of the Elizabethan Hall, our romantic Afternoon Tea offers a perfect blend of charm and sophistication. Served on vintage-style china, you’ll savour freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, an exquisite selection of Doddington’s signature sweet treats and an array of delicious sandwiches with the option of additional extras and upgrades.

Choose sittings from; 12.00pm, 12.30pm, 2.30pm or 3.00pm.

Please note that your table is available for 1.5 hours from your booking time. We recommend pre-booking online to avoid disappointment. Walk-ins subject to availability.

Not being a fan of cream and cakes, I have always been a bit reluctant to do afternoon tea. However, having experienced this, because of a gift card from daughter, my opinion has changed. My wife enjoyed her standard tea of cream and jam scone with selection of cakes but I had the savoury option, all my favourite things, sausage roll, pork pie, cheese, scotch egg, haslet with pickle as well as the standard sandwiches. Superb. The ambience, service and overall experience were all excellent. I am converted to afternoon tea and will be doing it again.

Service was lovey. Food very disappointed. We have been before and it was good. The salmon bun was more like fish paste. Not what you would expect for the money.

What a lovely setting plus tables set out very prettily and a good size for two. We opted for the savoury option which was good but could have done with some pickle to eat with it. The staff were very attentive however we were told upon being seated that we had the table for 1 1/2 hours and were brought the bill exactly after 1 1/2 hours. So we felt we needed to leave. I would have thought 2 hours were more acceptable as we wanted a break between the savoury and scones. Thank you to the girls serving who looked after us with extra tea and for their attentiveness.

Food, very poor standard. Paper table cloth and serviette’s with artificial flowers not in keeping with Doddington Hall. Would not recommend to anyone. Very poor value for money.

The location was beautiful, as was the presentation of the afternoon tea. However, we just found the sandwiches and cakes a little underwhelming and quite dry. Scones were lovely, but would have been better warm. Staff were lovely and smiley, but there was not much more to it than that. A lot of fake flowers and foliage, would have been even nicer if it was real.

Was a lovely afternoon tea but the sandwiches were all a bit hard like they had been made quite a while before, the staff were lovely but maybe should be making sure everyone is happy and needing anything instead of grouping together to chat
