Dragon Castle is a Chinese restaurant based in Elephant and Castle, London.

We're known for serving some of the freshest Dim Sum South of the river, and we pride ourselves on knowing that we provide this for our customers. With 56 dishes to choose from, there's something for everyone! Every little dumpling is handcrafted on-site by our chefs who have spent years honing their skills in the art of Dim Sum, so you know you're getting the best, from the best!

Alongside our famous Dim Sum is our extensive main menu which has been a firm favourite amongst local residents and visiting tourists for over 16 years. We source all our produce locally enabling us to serve you fresh food of the highest quality while supporting local businesses too.

Our restaurant can be exclusively hired for birthday parties, formal receptions and private dinners.For intimate gatherings, our restaurant can seat up to 20 guests in our private function room. For larger parties, you can hire out the entire restaurant along with our stage area that can be customised to your requirements.

While we have no parking at the restaurant, there are plenty of on-street parking spaces within walking distance as well as the parking facilities at Elephant & Castle shopping centre.

By Tube or train- Take the Bakerloo line to Elephant and Castle and then its only a 5 minute walk to our doors. There is also an overground station nearb.By Bus- We have a bus stop right outside our restaurant. Buses that stop here include the 35, 40, 45, 136, 343, P5 N343. Buses that stop nearby include- 171, 176, 12, 133, 155

Poor service compared to usual. Also the doors were open and we were cold all night.

We have been for dim sum at Dragon Castle many times and the food is always great. However, it is some time since we last visited and the service has gone really downhill. It took 30 mins+ for our first food to arrive and it then came in dribs and drabs over a two hour period. We had to ask twice for the order to be completed. The bill at the end was all over the place. Such a shame as it was a birthday meal and we had chosen this restaurant as a treat. Suspect it is much better mid week rather than on a busy Sunday. Also it is absolutely freezing in the restaurant.

Sunday is the busiest day for Dim Sum but they’d run out of several dishes, bottled water and ice by the time we sat down. Food was tepid and all the sauces seemed rationed! They messed up the order - which can happen - but then after 40 minutes, they still hadn’t managed to make a fried rice and a noodle! No apology - just a surly waiter who couldn’t give a damn. Their apology? A can of coke! There’s so, so many better places. Don’t waste your money.

Excellent food as always best outside of China Town :) but service was lacking had to wait ages to get a drink and had to ask for menus and chilli oil about 5 times.

We booked in advance for a special Chinese New Year dinner for 10 of us. When we arrived they didn’t have a big enough table ready for us which was disappointing. We were ushered to the back of the restaurant where it was freezing cold. The manager did his best to accommodate us with a heater which helped with some of us. As we were so far away from the front of the restaurant the service was extremely slow and there was no ambience. It took a long time before we got served our first dish and quite a wait before thereabouts dishes came. Once they did the food was outstanding. Everyone was super happy and loved every dish.

Solid rather than sensational food, although a few dishes did dazzle, including fried prawn rolls, pan-fried pork dumplings and sensational roast pork cheung fun. Good value, fast service. Lacked atmosphere, but would happily return at a busier time when it's likely to be more lively.

Average experience at best. Indifferent service. Average dumplings. Koi need more water.
