A distinct new dining experience led by celebrated Chef Anthony Walsh, Drift features modern, elevated takes on classic Atlantic Canadian dishes and traditions. Located on the main level of the newly built Muir Hotel, our salon, bar and promenade offer a simple, modern and stylish setting in which to dine, drink, linger and relax without interruption.     Thank you for making our special occasion extra special ❤️The staff was so caring and attentive. Food and drinks were fabulous and amazing service! Our favourite bites were the lobster huspuppies, salmon ceviche, seafood chowder and the chocolate mousse but really every bite was delicious! 5* loved it!

    It was just a perfect night, celebrating a birthday. We had so much fun Torri was lovely and knows her menu. She had some great suggestions for us and just a pleasure to talk too. The food was sooooo good, each time someone took a bit it was dead silence, big smile and a little shuffle. We had the amuse, oh my heavens what an incredible first bit, Jack exact words were that set me up for the rest of the meal. Salmon tartare was perfect as was the beef carpaccio, Mike felt it was the best he ever had, and he has had a lot! The halibut risotto was lovely. We will be back it was a Monday, so everything was slow and quiet what a perfect night.

    Our dining experience at the Drift was terrific. We had reservations at another restaurant that fell thru so we decided to try the Drift and we are so glad we did. The ambience,the food and the service (thx Piper) were 5 star! We will be back and we highly recommend you give it a try.

    Drift never disappoints. Stellar staff and delicious culinary delights. Enjoyed this dining experience the same way we have every one prior.... cannot wait to come back.

    Hubby had the Bangers and Hash, he loved it all, especially the house made sausages. I had The Hipster and it was the best non-traditional breakfast I’ve ever had. The consistencies and flavours all worked well together and it was just the right amount for me. The atmosphere is lovely, staff very attentive. Highly recommend you visit for a relaxing brunch experience.

    The new lunch menu is excellent! It has some great comfort items (like a club sandwich). The lobster salad on a croissant was delicious and as always their french fries are to die for! I highly recommend this restaurant!

    I was here for their Dine Around Halifax prix fixe menu. I had the Atlantic Beef tartare, Halibut risotto and sticky toffee pudding. I wish the halibut was a bit bigger but aside from that it was all very delicious and a great price for $50. Will definitely be back.
