   My wife and I found dinner at Dwight’s was extraordinarily wonderful, exceeding our experience at any other “fine dining” establishment within 20 minutes of Ponte Vedra Beach where we stayed for a week. Located in a small nondescript parking lot, Dwight’s exterior appearance is so understated that I wasn’t sure I had programmed the Waze address correctly! Upon closer inspection, however, the exterior was populated with fresh flowers and plantings, with the outer wall decorated with quirky art. Inside, the decor is something to behold: amazing mosaics made by Dennis himself, and untold thousands of wine bottle corks lining the ceiling and multiple surfaces. Beautiful. The staff is personable and engaging. The food is remarkable: the crab cakes are perfect (all crab, not loaded with breadcrumbs, with perfect texture, neither lumpy nor mushy); the pork chop was the most tender I’ve ever had; the baby carrots and strings beans were tender; and the pistachio ravioli with actual pistachios was a first. The pricing is very reasonable, the noise-level makes talking easy, and the spacing of the tables is generous. I had the opportunity to meet Dennis himself, momentarily pulling him away from his cooking tasks. This is a man who had a vision, fulfilled it himself, continues to do so, and his patrons are well-rewarded. The PGA Players Championship is an annual event, and those who come to the every year (such as the broadcasting teams) have discovered this unprepossessing place. You should too! I’ll be back.

    Dwight’s pork chop is simply spectacular. The escargot is also great. One of the best things about Dwight’s though is that everyone is so nice!
