    First we made a reservation requesting that we NOT sit at a high top table. We get there and they have us set for a high top. They changed that. Our waitress took our drink orders. My wife ordered 2 - 5 ounce red wines. Then she changed to 1 -8 ounce wine. I ordered a Heineken. The drinks came with 2 glasses of red wine 8 ounces each. After a bit when our food order came I asked the waitress for my beer. She said I thought that you changed to wine. But I will bring your beer. I said to forget the beer. 5 min later she dropped a beer on the table. I said I cancelled it when you were at the table. She said that she didn’t hear that. My wife ordered pizza. The crust was burnt there were a few pieces of Pashto on it with a pile of green leafy stuff. It was cold and tasted disgusting. I ordered the deluxe burger with fries. The burger was great. The fries were cold and they were shoestring straight out of the bag crappy fries. You would think that the “Test” kitchen would serve some quality food. We definitely will not be returning to this place.

    Missing items on table and during each course. Did not see waiter often. Some prices to high for what you received. Portions size much smaller than previous. Lesser quality food when compared to other earls locations.

    Had the best experience last night! Arrived to our table set with bubbles and a birthday card for my friend and had a lovely host seat us. Our server Asad was so fun, attentive, and friendly! He also gave us great recommendations. The AGM Caelan was also amazing! He was very hospitable and brought in a welcoming energy. The bar manager Colton made amazing drinks and brought in the most energetic and fun vibe! Overall, the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was out of this world. + try the banana cream pie (the best pie I’ve ever tried - please keep it on the menu)

    We had the New Deluxe Burger which was excellent, but the onions were not caramelized as described. The fries were hot , which is always appreciated. Our server was fantastic, and also thanked me for pointing out the onions! I like that the coffee arrived in a nicer mug on a saucer - nice touch!

    Earl's Test Kitchen is one of our go-to restaurants when we come to Downtown Vancouver. The menu is constantly updated with new items, as it is a test kitchen. The staff are amazing, as is the food!

    I was very disappointed with the entire experience tonight. I booked a reservation weeks in advance and requested a booth in the lounge. Upon arrival it was a very busy evening and I didn't mind waiting a little extra time to be seated. The hostess told me it would be five minutes. About 20 min later, I checked in again and was told the same. Finally we were taken to a high top in the lounge, with chairs that would be difficult for my elderly Mom to manage. I asked if we could move. We then stood awkwardly for another 10 minutes, then seated at low chairs in the dining room with plants hanging over the table. I didn't realize a booth was such a difficult request. Finally after another 10 min we got a booth. The server Ruban was polite. My chicken Kung pao arrived cold and I advised him immediately. No manager came by to discuss so I assume they were not advised the dish was sent back. The second dish was warmer but not as hot as I like. My Mom ordered ribs with fries and coleslaw. She was disappointed the ribs were sitting directly on top of the fries which made them soggy and the coleslaw was warm. It was difficult to cut the ribs while sitting on the fries. She advised Ruben and no manager called. We paid and left unhappy.
