Looks like they've gotten their act together! In our previous 2 visits, the waitstaff seemed stressed and mostly unavailable, the drinks and meal were very delayed in arriving, and then our plates were cleared very rapidly with the sense that our time was up! By contrast, this time the server was friendly, and seemingly unstressed, and checked back to see how we were doing. . Our wine and lunch were served promptly . We did not feel that we were being rushed out.

Waitress Was very dismissive. Lied. Told us they sort of do and don’t have beer on tap and so my husband went to bar on his own and ordered beer no problem. She was very discourteous to my daughter and treated her very harshly. Honestly have never had an experience like this before and normally wouldn’t complain but I’m so upset about her behavior

Super location and a great menu but a bit pricey for what's served. The server staff also needs to sharpen their attention skills for those prices in that location. When the drink comes after the appetizer, something's out of sync.

I was really looking forward to dining at Eataly since we have visited the one in NYC. The service was not very good: felt very rushed. Our server brought over a menu for desserts before we even finished eating our meal. Had to ask twice for bread and finally asked another server if we could have some bread. I just returned from Rome and understand the idea of “Al Dente” but my linguine was probably 1-2mins undercooked from al dente. Portion sizes are not reflected in prices: we had the short ribs polenta and it arrived on a small cutting board with very few pieces of actual short rib. I don’t think we will return to the restaurant but I have had the paninis in the front of the restaurant/store and those are delicious!

Food was magnificent and waiter was very friendly and helpful. This is my second trip to Eataly in Short Hills and I can say it’s just as good as the one in Manhattan.

Pasta was great. The chickpea fries were good. But had to send the added protein back, the chicken was undercooked

Completely over priced - food was good but these are NYC prices. We had one appetizer, 2 entrees and 2 glasses of wine each and it came to $250… plus tip on top of that. Not worth the price.

It was my first time here & it was lovely. We had reservations & the wait to sit down was short. Our waitresses Asia D was more than helpful. She took my allergies seriously & recommended dishes for me. All her suggestions were fabulously tasty from cocktails to dessert. We'll be back soon. Thanks very much.
