   we arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation but was still sat quickly; the food selection was quite nice and the food was high quality and came out pretty quickly despite the restaurant being somewhat busy; our server Derek did an awesome job of being attentive and yet not hovering; the bacon wrapped dates appetizer were awesome!; the main courses were well proportioned and also well prepare - salmon, fried chicken and short rib grilled cheese were all well liked; prices not unreasonable; dessert selection also nice and not just the usual; we're planning to put this into our usual restaurant rotation. worth the visit

   The banana old fashioned is excellent! We also love their wedge salads and lava cake. The fish special is always amazing too! Matt and Charlie are fabulous bartenders and always make our experience A+. Thank you for another great dinner!

   Our server, Amanda, was great. Ketchup seems a bit odd to be served with bacon wrapped dates abs the bacon should be crisp, imo.

    Always a treat to eat at Eight Settlers. There are not a lot of independent restaurants in the Sandy/Cottonwood Heights area. Unbelievable how all of the independents deliver on our expectations. We had lunch- three women who have been friends for years. It was a perfect setting. Good lunch menu with fabulous salads (two of us had those). The third person, kind of out of character, ordered the fried chicken sandwich. She has no regreats.
