El Pirata is a hidden gem serving acclaimed Spanish tapas for almost 30 years. Tucked away in the corner of Mayfair, El Pirata ensures that every guest instantly feels at home through their relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff, some of whom have been at El Pirata since the very beginning meaning they work as a seamless team. El Pirata couples the comforting appeal of a central London establishment with the energetic dynamism of a new opening. They have an expansive tapas menu featuring classic dishes and recently have added some new dishes to strengthen the experience offered to guests. The best tapas we have had in London. The service was great, portions were big and very good value for money. The only thing that we didn’t really like it was quite dark dining downstairs. Also, we went for our 10th wedding anniversary and it was mentioned in our booking, so it would be nice to get some little treats from the restaurant which we didn’t sadly. But, we enjoyed our food and cocktails very much and will definitely return again.

Interesting extensive menu. Lovely sharing platters. Great friendly and helpful staff. And relaxed but buzzy atmosphere.We always head for El Pirata for lunch when we come up to London and are never disappointed. What’s not to love. ❤️

Excellent service from the moment we arrived. Good selection on the menu and waitress suggested popular tapas dishes. Thoroughly enjoyable meal with friends. Dined 3 times now and will be back.
