   We dined here a year ago and enjoyed it so we went back when in town. I had an 8 oz filet which was delicious, however, my husband had a bone-in dry aged NY strip steak. His steak was very tough. He only ate a little of it because it was like chewing leather. When the waiter asked how our food was, we told him, but he didn’t seem concerned. No manager came to apologize. We didn’t want to get it for free, but for $85 it was bad. Our a la carte sides were creamed spinach, which was good, and fresh cut fries. The fries were very thick and undercooked.

   Our server, Skylar, was quite good, very attentive, and knowledgeable regarding wines and menu. Everyone was outstanding. Will return soon.

   Element has wonderful, sophisticated ambience. The food is excellent and artfully presented. The serving staff is knowledgeable about the menu and the extensive wine list.

   A very pleasant atmosphere with excellent service from Janice. Two different fish dinners were very tasty along with the shrimp pasta having a delicious sauce. The New York strip steak was tough and not seasoned well but the baked potato made up for what lacked in the meat. If you want a quiet place to dine in Sarasota with good food, this should be at the top of your list for favorite restaurants.

   First time at The Element & the ambience of the restaurant had a cool upbeat vibe! We sat in the bar area & Tre’ & Faith were very attentive while still maintaining their duties as bartenders. Their soup of the day: BEEF BARLEY was to die for-best soup I have had in a long time! I got their Pork Chop that was good-had a different flavor to it but it was delicious! My sister had the Tenderloin Rigatoni Ragu which had another distinct flavor-she would give it a 7 out of 10! Tre’ made us a Blackberry Mojito which was flavorful & refreshing!    Out server went above and beyond for the 4 top next to us (that were sharing dishes) but wouldn’t acknowledge us when our glasses of wine were empty. We sat there for over 22 minutes waiting to order more wine and finally got to a point where I just asked for togo boxes and didn’t order dessert. I’m all about serving and will never go back here again.

   Food was excellent as always. Service was not up to par, server sort of ignored us for the most part. It took a while to get our food as well. Server also poured the last of the wine into just 2 glasses and skipped one of the party with an empty glass, was odd since it could have been dovided equally.

    My husband and I decided to eat here before attending the opera this past Saturday, March 8. What a disappointment this place was! The atmosphere was lovely, a really beautiful restaurant! But honestly, that was the only good part about the whole thing! The worst part was our waitress. I believe her name was Janice? She started off decent, although I felt very rushed. We had just sat down and she did not give us any time to even open the menu. She never brought our food out, one of the busboys did. I wish we got his name, because he was way more attentive to us than our own waitress! I even told him at one point since our waitress is missing in action, can you please help us?! He brought our food and the waitress never came back to ask us if we wanted more drinks! My husband ordered the oysters which he said were small and thin, and totally not worth the price. The shrimp cocktail was good and my Caesar salad was excellent. I ordered the pasta Ragu, which was cold, and my husband ordered the special that night, which was kangaroo that he really enjoyed, but he said there was not enough, annoying, ridiculous music playing the entire meal was so awful and annoying, it was a terrible distraction. We couldn’t even concentrate on our conversation!!! For dessert, we also had to ask the bus boy for a dessert menu, and coffee, Because like I said, our waitress never came back!! She finally came at the end to give us our outrageous bill and we did not tip this woman 20% because she did not deserve it in anyway she was lucky to get 15%! We will not be returning
