Our inspiration is the Zeus Faber, one of many local fish that can be fished sustainably and from our shores; although it has a wonderful Latin come Greek name, it also has a very British name - John Dory.

Faber is the Latin word for ‘Smith’ and as Smith is the most common name in English, we decided it sits well with our ethos - we want to be accessible to all.

Setting us apart from the rest is our commitment to working with local fishmongers who run out to the coast each evening to collect day-boat fish and local ingredients. This means that everything on our menu is fresh, sustainably sourced, and supports the local economy.

Our chef Ollie Bass believes in creating dishes that are not only delicious but also ethical and responsible.

A perfect spot with Eventim Apollo, The Lyric & Riverside studios only 5-10 minutes walk, dine in with us to feel like you're at the coast in the heart of Hammersmith

This is a local gem. The freshest oysters and fish you can ever, served by wonderful staff in a beautiful setting. Huge thank you to the magnificent Frankie, she’s an absolute joy and her attentive attention to the tiny details adds more pleasure to outstanding dining experience you have at Faber.

Had a lovely time at this restaurant. Service was very good. We both found the restaurant not to be warm enough, they have huge windows at the front which you could feel the cold from and I believe more heating is needing. The fish we chose was very good, different flavoured sauces used and the chunky chips were excellent. The desserts, honey cake and rhubarb with meringue were absolutely lovely.

I have been looking for a good fish restaurant in London that serves more than just fish & chips. Finally found the right place. Paul & his staff were wonderful with their attentions and advice. We had lovely starters (skid with blood orange and crispy sardines) followed by perfectly cooked lemon sole with garlic butter. For the desert with followed Paul's advice of honey cake (divine crema catalan styled pie served with a fresh cream) and the homemade yogurt ice-cream was also a great choice. The wines are in all price and taste range - opted for a lovely Pinot Grigio that accompanied our lunch very well. Loved the water options. Will for sure come again. Ps. We booked beforehand and would recommend doing so as the restaurant was full.

We had a great time the food was exceptional as was our server Charlie who very knowledgeble about the dishes and drinks. Not the first time we have been and definately not the last.

Faber is a great restaurant with exceptional food. I have always had really delicious meals there. The staff are charming and efficient and I love the way it is decorated - beautiful lights!

Faber Wien & Seafood Restaurant is a hidden gem in Hammersmith. It is light and airy and feels a lot larger than what it was. The menu had lots of tasty dishes, the staff were very attentive and helpful and they are accommodating too - Brompton bicycles and dogs are also allowed inside. My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening there and will go back for another 'treat' in a few months time.

We loved the deco and the fact we were sat at a round table in a great position in the beautifully decorated room. The staff were so welcoming and gave wonderful attentive service throughout our meal. We were allowed to taste the wine before ordering we meant we picked a wine we may not have normally gone for and felt it was very good value for money. The oysters were a generous size and very fresh I had the cod cheeks as a starter which were flavoursome. The mussels were served in a creamy sauce and again as beautifully cooked and served. My partner had the Lemon sole which he was asked if he wanted filleted. He was very happy with his choice . We shared a honey tart for dessert which the waiting staff highly recommended and was more than adequate for 2 people . Not over sweet and had a burnt caramel topping 😋 We would definitely recommend and return to Faber restaurant again.
