While hosting a dear friend from Canada, we chose Fish House Vera Cruz for dinner. Perfect evening - drinks, dinner (salmon and trout) were delicious. And the sour dough rolls were mouthwatering. Can’t wait to go back.

Great dinner with family. Food was very fresh and good. Service was a little slow, but we were in no hurry so it worked out for us to visit. We will be back

Whenever we want to celebrate a special day (anniversary, birthday), we always love to come to Fish House Vera Cruz in San Marcos. The fish is excellent and cooked to perfection and the sides compliment it. We always ask the servers what looks good today and they have never steered us wrong. Love, love, love this place.

Service was a 9 food was a 4 at best. I am confused how this restaurant gets such good reviews. Fish was mediocre, vegetables tasted like frozen with no flavor, mashed potatoes were tasteless and dry. Presentation was weak, one little lemon thrown on the plate. Really bummed because it used to be good, service was amazing, very sweet staff all around. Hope it gets better would like to return but quality of food does not match price.

My wife was able to get her favorite fish this time (not been able to get the last 3 visits) Cortez halibut which made this visit very special

We love the Fish House Vera Cruz for years . Never had a bad meal or services. Everything & Everyone were extremely amazing. From the Host & waiters & waitresses to the incredible cooks. We really enjoyed our meals. We had Eric he was so super serving & always a joy to see . Known him for years . We always asked for him. Super crew everytime. Plus they are all respectful to my service dog. A big 10 + !!

Excellent choice for fresh fish and nice variety offered although Sunday pm had many choices sold out . Will be regular customers !!

Food was fresh, delicious and good portions. Price about as expected. Only negative was rather dark, cold inside even by the window. Needs more light and warmth but service was excellent and cheerful

They do fish just right there, they just run out of Ono when we ordered, so we had the baqueta bass and it was superb. I wish I could remember the name of the waiter we had, he was excellent.
