Flint takes a unique approach to the modern dining experience, with our open kitchen and bar on the first floor, personable dining and open fire cooking. We provide an experience like no other in Fitzroy. Everything on the menu is cooked over an open fire in the middle of the restaurant creating unique flavours that cannot be found anywhere else.

We had the best time! fantastic staff, amazing chef :) Super friendly. Food was next level and really reasonably priced. Cocktails...yum. Thanks for a super enjoyable evening!!!!

Both food and service were excellent - as were the cocktails. A little on the pricy side but well worth it.

We had a fantastic experience, with beautiful, innovative food. The service was relaxed, and fun. I would definitely recommend this, with the signature carrot dish a stand out. The scallop and trout were also great.

We had an awesome time at Flint. The venue is small and intimate with an open kitchen. It was a relatively quiet evening which was great because we had the awesome Nikki to ourselves and we had the private dining space (it was my birthday). The menu is small with about 5 or six entrees and 3 to 4 mains. We had pretty much everything on the menu. The highlight for me was the oysters, bread with bone marrow butter, scallop sashimi and for main the trout, steak and lamb cooked to perfection over fire. Check out the carrot dish too. Chocolate dessert was also awesome. Service was outstanding. All in all a lovely evening.

The food was absolutely brilliant, far beyond expectations. Every dish was better than the last. The burnt lettuce with anchovy and pistachio was one of the best side dishes I've tasted anywhere and the porterhouse steak was definitely the most tender steak I've ever had, and cooked to perfection. The service was good, staff served us our food in a timely and polite manner. They were attentive enough that we didn't have to wait for drinks etc. We were a bit disappointed that we booked a table but were seated at the bar, at least just a note beforehand mentioning this would be nice. Overall though it was a very positive experience.

Broken Toilet. Lack water being regularly served/topped up. Lack of table wipe down when dirty. Was provided with sticky cutlery with dessert. Food was mediocre at best, not sure why serving a fish with that many bones seems like a good idea for the customer to experience - probably best suited for street food.
