   During my recent visit to Folia in Charlotte's South End, I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional experience. The ambiance is reminiscent of a lush, tropical oasis—a perfect blend of sophistication and relaxation. The cocktail menu, curated by the renowned mixologist Bob Peters, offers innovative, handcrafted drinks that tantalize the palate. Eric, our bartender, showcased impeccable skill and hospitality, crafting delightful cocktails that elevated our day. The culinary offerings are equally impressive. The baked brie was a harmonious blend of creamy richness and subtle flavors, setting a high standard for the meal. The waffles were a delightful surprise, perfectly crisp on the outside and fluffy inside, reflecting the kitchen's attention to detail. Folia's commitment to excellence in both mixology and cuisine makes it a standout destination in Charlotte. Whether seeking a unique cocktail experience or delectable small plates, this establishment delivers on all fronts. I will definitely be visiting their next venture, Mazi!

   I went alone just wanted to feel out new places and I’m glad i came. Kendall was my server and she was very sweet and informative and helped me pick out a really good drink. The lowlighting really made for a good reading spot for me and i will be back!

   I showed up for my reservation on time and was seated. I was later pushed out of my table for a later reservation and was told I had to get up. I did not appreciate that at all and will not be spending any more of my money at this establishment.

   I was very underwhelmed by the customer service at this restaurant. We arrived a little before our 7:30 reservation and waited at the entry as the sign instructed, but no one ever came to greet us. After waiting, we walked inside and asked the bartender if we should seat ourselves. The restaurant was quiet, and it seemed like the bartender was the only person working. Since it wasn’t busy, he told us we could sit anywhere. While this was fine, the overall experience felt impersonal. The bartender did make an effort to engage with guests or create a welcoming atmosphere. For the price point of the drinks and the style of the restaurant, I expected a more polished and attentive experience. While the ambiance was nice, the lack of service left us disappointed. I hope this was just an off night, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations. M

   The ambiance was amazing, with a beautifully decorated interior that created a lovely garden-like vibe. The food was delicious, especially the flatbread, which I thoroughly enjoyed. However, the reception service was disappointing. The receptionist did not handle her role professionally, which affected the first impression of the experience. Since first impressions are a crucial part of hospitality, I hope this aspect can be improved to match the overall quality of the restaurant.
