   We had a great time, the service is excellent, food and drinks were also great! We sat outside, it was somewhat loud at times downtown, but it did not disrupt the experience at all. The inside is beautiful though, we will plan to do that next time.

   Some of the best food I have had in a while. Tristen is an excellent waitress. The Miso Cod and the Waygu are musts. If in St Pete this is a place you have to go.

   Best steak around. Love the salad, carrots, and corn. The shrimp tempura is also phenomenal! Unbelievable panna cotta dessert with fun presentation.  Compliments to the chef and the kitchen. The only problem was our Head waiter for our table. He was extremely slow …..3 hour meal! The other servers/waitstaff were attentive.

   We had a wonderful experience at Fortu. Our friends came into town and we wanted a unique dining experience for them. Our service was top notch and we felt well taken care of. The Waygu steak melted in our mouths and was delicious. The King Salmon was delightful, as well. We sat outside because we know the inside is so noisy so we were able to enjoy having conversations easily. My only complaint is the price. It’s super expensive for what you get and therefore this is not a weekly occurrence for us which is a shame because we pass the restaurant almost everyday living downtown.

   The service and drinks were excellent, but the food fell short of expectations. It lacked the authenticity typically associated with Asian cuisine. For example, the shrimp tempura resembled more of a bang bang shrimp dish rather than the light, crispy Japanese-style tempura I anticipated. The steak, while cooked to the right temperature, was overwhelmed by an excess of butter, which masked its flavor.

    Trystan is so amazing I really enjoyed her service and knowledge of the food and drinks. Also Fortu has set the new gold standard for restaurants in St Pete area! By the way did I mention Trystan was amazing! lol truly took my date night to the next level.
