The Austrian owner has poured her heart and soul into creating an atmosphere that is best described in one German word: gemütlich. The carefully chosen artifacts & candlelight combine to make this the perfect place for a romantic rendezvous, intimate rehearsal dinner or wedding party. According to owner Karin Derly, "We envisioned this as a place for people to create happy, lasting memories." Unique spot. Insane pricing for a pot of cheese but the novelty factor makes it a must. Would go back for lunch

We believe in providing a memorable experience that cannot be found anywhere else in Aspen and hope that our prices - most of them accommodated by Aspen standards- are justified by the overall experience. All of our Swiss cheeses are imported, Gruyère, Beaufort, Comté and Vecherin and it is prepared gluten free with a touch of white wine and our traditional Kirschwasser. Way too cramped. Uninviting atmosphere. Food was mid to okay. Not worth the price. The romantic vibe is completely ruined by the loud music, cramped seating, and party atmosphere.

The kitchen was closed 1 hour after we arrived and nobody told us, and we couldnt ask for more food. And before we were leaving the restaurant, the attendants were sitting in the table counting the bills.

Dear Ana, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and joining us for dinner on your special night out. In saying this we are saddened that you were not told when you got there at 9:30pm that the kitchen will be closing within the hour of your arrival. As a restaurant, we really believe that we are only as strong as our team, it does appear in this case, that perhaps a team member became a little too comfortable towards the end of the night - and we certainly will address this with them. The guests always need to come first; and we hope that you will grant us the opportunity, next time you are in town, to show you that this is what we are so well known for. Next time around, dessert is on us - you need to experience our Midnight in Paris - it is a must! Warm Regards, FAB Team
