The newly transformed Gansevoort Rooftop features a glass enclosure with a brass-framed blue onyx topped cocktail bar, stylish custom patterned lounge seating, Moroccan tiled floors and an outdoor terrace with stunning Hudson River and city views. A custom ornate Italian fresco filled with surreal forbidden fruit trees and wisteria motifs welcomes the outdoors in. The bar and dining room’s menu features coastal European ingredients, fresh light bites, and a cocktail menu crafted to perfection. Guests can enjoy signature dishes including a lemon crusted Branzino, Chakchoucka Salad and Shrimp Pil Pil as well cocktails like “The Rooftop Spritz”, an elevated take on the aperol spritz featuring Gin and notes of Valencia orange or the “Sicilian Sangria” based with a Montepulciano and sweetened by Limoncello. Gansevoort’s rooftop is perfect for a leisurely lunch, sunset apéritivo or late night jazz performance.

we ate in the area next to the bar because it was quiet- view was also good. we had salmon sushi and spicy tuna both were outstanding as good as the michelin sushi ran in Marin Calf or Pabu in SF. and less expensive very large portion and our waitress was charming. sadly we have booked all the restaurants for our 10 nights in NY otherwise we would return for more sushi. a wonderful surprise.

We made a reservation at 16.00. The weather and view were amazing so we wanted to sit outside The man welcoming us in the restaurant was very rude We could sit outside but would not be served Whole restaurant was empty We ordered drinks at the bar, and wanted some snacks of the menu. Was not allowed Snacks had to be eaten inside at a table... Very strict policy, rudely shared The guy making the drinks was nice and friendly.

Amazing food and gorgeous restaurant! Disappointed with the service as we only got checked on maybe one time. However, the ambience and taste of the food made up for that.

We had such a great experience it was tough to get into the hotel because it was an event outside and around the hotel but from Nick the bartender to the amazing service we got at our table and the awesome drinks and food and ambiance we had an amazing time !

Beautiful space, perfect ambience for a girls' night out with yummy and beautiful cocktails and delicious food options. Live DJ very fun!

We arrived with a reservation and were seated inside with no view, defeating the point of visiting a rooftop bar at sunset. The cocktails were similarly awful. If you simply want a heavy pour you’ll be satisfied; we we after a quality, crafted, delicious cocktail and none in our party experienced anything other than a glass of booze Our server was brusque with us, like they had better things to do. I understand busy but not rude. I suspect if we’d been seated with a view it would have been a gorgeous sunset.
