General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). It’s also going to signal a little bit of steakhouse, but not too much. And finally, it will look behind itself at the Black Hoof, which you will see reflected in James Santon’s menu here and there. In terms of vibe, the main floor is ‘everything’s gone green’, with lush comfortable banquette seating, warm wood, and barstools designed for long conversations over many cocktails. Upstairs you’ll find a completely different space that transports you to a peachy 80s dream. Somehow these two halves make perfect sense, and complement each other in a seamless conversation, where neither wins the argument, but you really do have to see it! See you soon!
We'll be joined by Therianthropy winemaker David Eiberg on the mezzanine at General Public for a four-course, family-style dinner paired up with 6 wines, including two new releases. Seating for this event will be mixed including communal tables and counter seating.
Please let us know if you have dietary restrictions or allergies when booking. Unfortunately, vegan menus will not be available for this event.
Really lovely space! Our server was attentive and answered all our questions around the menu - also, gave wonderful suggestions! Our dishes were delicious.
