ボルチモア美術館（BMA）内に位置するGertrude'sでは、暖かくスタイリッシュな雰囲気の中で地元の食材を用いたチェサピーク料理をジョーン・シールズが提供しています。シェフ兼オーナーのジョーン・シールズは、ボルチモア生まれで、料理の本の著者であり、テレビの料理番組のホストです。レストランの名前は、子供の頃に料理を教わった祖母のガートルード・クリアリーにちなんだものです。Gertrude'sでは、可能な限り地元の有機食材を用いて、チェサピーク料理や伝統料理の洗練された地域ならではのメニューをランチ、ディナー、ブランチに提供しています。チェサピーク湾の東海岸の生活にヒントを得たレストランの内装は美しくエレガントで快適です。開放的で風通しの良いダイニングルームは日当たりが良く、床から天井までの窓から美術館の彫刻庭園を望めます。暖かい季節には、噴水やリフレクティング・プールの周りのテラスに追加の座席を用意しています。

Beautiful dining room. We sat at a banquet padded bench cozy spot in the back. The food was delicious and the service was great. It's little but pricey but not too bad for what you get.

It was a lovely first time experiencing Gertrude’s after the Candlelight Concert featuring the Best of Bridgerton on Strings in the Meyerhoff Auditorium at BMA. When I saw the white tablecloth, I knew it would be a fine dining experience. Alex T provided the right number of check-ins and gladly answered our questions about the menu choices. Our menu choices; Red crab soup Boardwalk Crab cake platter Steak Frites It was all cooked to perfection and yummy. I learned Gertrude’s does Sunday and alfresco dining during the warmer weather. I’ll be back.

Disappointing food-uninspired and not that tasty. I chose a trout, which was somewhat dry, just placed on a bed of plain rice with plain broccoli on the side. Nothing special or imaginative or particularly good. One of our party’s choice of entree was so bad, the vegan gumbo, she could only eat half and didn’t bother to take the rest home. We asked several different wait staff a question about one appetizer food item, and it was never answered until the very end of the meal. Nothing egregiously wrong overall except the food was just so uninspiring and not tasty.

I always enjoy Gertrude's! It's at the museum, it has a lovely ambiance, and the staff is very cordial and polite. The food is yummy and I highly recommend the cream of crab soup.

Crabcakes were DELISH! The sides needed help. We ordered the potato salad and collards. The collards were "eatable" but the potato salad was rough. On a positive note, our server was outstanding!! A+

Great atmosphere and before we could mention we were here for a show the waiter states he wanted to keep us on time so we could make the show .Food came out with more time to catch up each other over dinner
