   The service and staff were very friendly and lovely outstanding. Our table all ordered steaks. 3 were waygu sirloin and 1 was a rib eye. The steaks were very underwhelming, bland and tough, this was especially disappointing as the steaks are not cheap and as we came on a Sunday, we had a further 10% surcharge. I really did appreciate the service of the staff however for the amount of money we paid that night we all left disappointed in the quality of the steak. Maybe as the restaurant is not usually open on a Sunday the steaks weren't fresh? I'm not sure but was very disappointing.

   We had a lovely dinner with friends at the Ginger Olive. The food was excellent, and the portion sizes were just right. We order a couple of pastas and mixed grills. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Highly recommend Ginger Olive.

   We came in running late. Staff were fabulous, very attentive, friendly and efficient yet unobtrusive. The food was prepared very quickly and very tasty. Exactly what we needed. Thank you

   Ordered the BBQ Snag Platter and it was the perfect way to celebrate our Valentine's Day. The atmosphere was relaxed and casual however, the staff made it feel personal with their service. Overall a great find, tucked in the CBD.

   The restaurant is located in the central business district of Melbourne, making it highly accessible via public transportation. The quality of the food and the level of service were outstanding aspects of this establishment. I will certainly return to dine at Ginger Olive.

   Extremely disappointing! Ordered the seafood plate for 2. Seafood was frozen and tasteless. Prawns were mushy & watery, scallops totally overcooked, lobster had no favour. The menu included oysters and there was no oysters when the plate arrived. We were then informed that they had no oysters. Did anyone not think to tell us this before we ordered?? We were also delivered the wrong drink initially. Upon complaint at the end of the meal the chef did apply a 25% discount to the bill. All too little too late, we will DEFINITELY NOT be back!

    We booked for New Year’s Eve no mention reduced menu on website No mention of surcharge which at the door says 10% and menu said 15% which we accepted but then They provided a reduced menu which we were fine with but prices had increased $10-$30 per item plus the surcharge so fry they were double dipping especially since it wasn’t a public holiday and website said surcharge on Sundays and public holidays which we are happy to pay
