About Grand Brasserie
Timeless elegance of historic Grand Central Terminal with the laid-back elegance of French design. Landmark Vanderbilt Hall, once the Terminal's main waiting room, has been transformed into Grand Brasserie, a New York City meeting place with Parisian flair. Open daily from 5:30 AM to 2 AM, our brasserie features two impressive bars and dining rooms, offering a menu filled with timeless French classics. Whether you're seeking a morning espresso, a leisurely lunch, or a late-night drink, Grand Brasserie is your go-to destination for authentic French cuisine in the heart of New York City.

How to get to. Located inside Grand Central Terminal, in the grand Vanderbilt Hall.

89 E 42nd St. Entrance to Grand Central Terminal at 42nd Street & Park Avenue.

Grand Brasserie is an airy 400-seat restaurant and bar, open during the terminal’s hours, 7 days a week. Brunch from 5:30 AM - 3 PM. Dinner until 2 AM. Lunch Prix Fixe menu available daily.

    The restaurant is vibrant with activity. The restaurant’s location, design, staff and food were amazing. My only complaint was the difficulty of hearing my group conversation in the bustling atmosphere. I recommend it and look forward to dining there again, but maybe as a couple.

    Train station food is more functional, than form. Eating at the Grand Brasserie in Grand Central is quite a delight. You must try it. The food is unbelievably good, French bistro-like, where everything is made well. We've had 3 occasions to revisit this restaurant; had breakfast, lunch and dinner here, and ALL of it was wonderful. We've had the mussels, steak, chicken, duck, hamburger, haricot vert (so simple yet soo good), breads and chocolate mousse. Even the side of home made butter was something that I ended up packing home. If you have some time to spare (or missed your train) go sit and enjoy the beautiful ambience. You will be pleasantly surprised!

    An excellent French Bistro in the least expected place - GCS - NYC Beatiful decore and a sight for the visitors Excelleny French Bistro menu Very good service and very reasonable price IN Grand Central Station in NYC !!

    Our server was rude and unwilling to make or ask the chef to make any changes to what was written on the menu. One in our party was allergic to egg yolks, and the omelette could not be made with whites. I ordered from the prix fixe brunch menu and wanted two from the starters section instead of one starter and one entree, and that change couldn't be made. Additionally, a cappuccino was served with curdled milk foam, and my entree was brought to the table before I had finished my starter, which I obviously asked them to take away u til I was ready. It sat, clearly, under a heat lamp so that the salad on the plate was wilted when delivered. While the location and menu are great, the food was not worth the prices and I would not go back or recommend this restaurant to anyone.

    We really enjoyed our dinner. Only complaints would be that I reserved a table in the main dining room and we were seated in the bar area which was very busy and very loud. There were no open tables in the dining room at that time. Then why would you take a reservation for the dining room at that time. Also the chicken dish said on the menu that it came with a petite salad but it no longer does. So update the menu. But the good and service were very good. So overall a great meal!
