It was a mistake that I made. I meant to book another restaurant but ended up with this one instead. I was not very impressed with the host. Our waitress was friendly enough but … perhaps I got so used to nicer things and people in the US which is where we are from hence the underwhelming feeling with this restaurant. It is good enough for on the street place but wouldn’t be a place I recommend to my friend. It’s just an “OK” place hence the 2.5 stars

Great way to start a weekend in Paris by having dinner at Grand Cafe Capucines. Unfortunately, the restaurant had no record of our booking with Open Table, but they were very accommodating and sat us upstairs. The venue is a lovely old school Parisian bistro with a fabulous menu. The seafood was amazing. The summer risotto was gorgeous and the bouillabaisse fab. All in all, a lovely venue with great quality food.

The restaurant is lovely and the staff was pleasant. We did switch from outside to inside because it was warmer out than we expected and there were smokers nearby. The server took our order outside but it did not come through as we had asked. She later came over and said she had submitted it properly. We asked for two steaks without sauce, one came with. My husband ordered rack of lamb and it was so fatty he could not eat it. He complained and it was taken off the bill. The ice cream sundaes and profiteroles were delicious

What a wonderful experience! The food and service were fantastic and we had a quiet table for two upstairs overlooking the street. Please note that they do not receive OpenTable reservations until two days after they are made. We made our reservation that day and they had no problem accommodating us right away.
