    Always enjoy our visits to The Grouse and Ale. 4* instead of 5 only because two out of the three of the party are vegetarian and there is very limited choice on your menu. From memory I think there were only two vegetarian starters and only a single vegetarian main course (a risotto). The risotto was delicious, but I think you can do something to improve the menu choice for us vegetarians. As it’s nice to be able to choose from at least three options instead of feeling that we have to select the only one available as a main.

    Have been twice now, it is a lovely welcoming pub with very nice food (and roast dinner) and wonderful helpful staff.

    Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent service, great food. Also had our wedding breakfast there last year. . They were soo accommodating . Made our day perfect.

    We have eaten here several times and have always enjoyed the experience, however the battered haddock on this occasion whilst being ok was not as good as previous times, lots of batter slightly over cooked and fish portion small, everything else was fine.

    Great atmosphere and very relaxed dining. Food was very tasty and plenty of it. However, meal was not served particularly hot and on occasions service wasn't very prompt.
