CHEF HALES INNOVATIVE, INSPIRED & SEASONAL CHINESE RESTAURANT

Our owner, Chef Richard Hales a four generation Tampa family since 1954, is back in his hometown of Tampa after 25 years away mastering Asian cuisine, opening award winning restaurants and appearing on the Food Network; beloved by the likes of Guy Fieri. Our seasonal menu features Asian techniques using the fi nest ingredients and availability of locally sourced produces. Chef Hales’ invites you to experience eclectic ambiance, elevated service and his version of Chinese cuisine.

    Service was top notch, food was good tasty but very oily and salty for the dollars I expect quality that is healthy not just tasty or proportioned big. Food definitely tasted good and felt relatively fresh, but was drenched in oil!

    The food was good! Would I come back? Probably not; just because it was overpriced for the portion sizes. The pork belly was good and so was the ribeye. The sesame balls were delicious but $14 for a two tiny balls of dough with bean paste? You can definitely get more affordable dim sum elsewhere. Overall, good place though.

    Hands down the best overall experience we’ve had in Tampa in the 4 years we’ve had here. The service alone makes it worth it but the food was such an interesting, innovative take on Chinese. We loved it and will absolutely be back.

    Excellent service and food. Over ordered with the family style servings, but everything was excellent! Would not recommend sitting outside with the traffic noise on Dale Mabry.
