Absolutely wonderful meal and experience. Better than many of the finest restaurants we have enjoyed, including those with Michelin Stars. So glad we found this place and can’t wait to return!

A warm welcome and some of the finest food I’ve had anywhere. The pacing, the flavors and the presentation truly made this an event and not just a meal. This would be an impressive meal in any major city, let alone rural Ontario.

Haliburton Post offers a welcome dining opportunity in cottage country, in the winter, when many venues are closed for the season. Their creative menu and uncompromising quality of ingredients results in a delicious outcome. The Amuse Bouche of raw tuna on a home made noki cracker was outstanding. Beet salad was fresh and had an unexpected crunch factor. The tenderloin was a favourite. Wine selection was ample and reasonably priced. We took home a jar of their maple pistachio granola and it is, by far, the best granola I have ever had. We’ll be back.

We had friends in from Chicago for the weekend and wanted to have a great dinner in a quiet atmosphere. The Post House delivered 100 %. Chef Dan prepared a lovely Michelin Quality Dinner without the price tag. Perfect. Loved the Oysters.

If you’re looking for a fine dining experience that feels casual, warm and inviting, the Post House is such a great option. Our meal was delicious, the service was incredible and the dining room has such a beautiful ambience. Their ingredients and beautiful plating really set them apart from any other dining experience in Haliburton County.

I had the pleasure of celebrating Valentine's Day here, and every aspect of the evening was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, the ambiance set the tone for a perfect evening. The intimate lighting and beautiful decor created a warm, inviting atmosphere that felt both elegant and relaxed. The roaring fire only added that special touch. The Valentine's Day dinner was truly exceptional. Each course was a masterpiece, showcasing the creativity and skill of the chef. The flavors were vibrant, and the presentation was nothing less than artful. It’s obvious that the team at Haliburton Post House takes pride in every detail. The balance of textures, seasonings, and quality ingredients elevated the meal to a level that was both indulgent and comforting. Kudos to the chef and the entire staff who made the evening flawless. We truly felt like we were at home! Service was great - attentive without being intrusive — ensuring that every guest felt special. We enjoyed our unique and wonderful evening!
