Welcome to Hawksmoor Chicago, where we bring our acclaimed steakhouse experience from the UK to the iconic LaSalle Powerhouse in River North. Our ethos is simple: ‘Buy the best and let it shine.’ We serve all-natural, pasture-reared, dry-aged beef from US family-run farms, cooked over charcoal and seasoned simply with sea salt. Our seafood, sourced from trusted Northeastern fishermen, is prepared with equal care.

In our 16,500 sq ft space, featuring barrel-vaulted ceilings and touches from the Golden Age of Travel, Hawksmoor is perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re stopping by for cocktails, a casual lunch or a special celebration, we make sure you leave full and happy. We also offer private dining for groups of 10 to full venue buy-outs for 500—ideal for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and corporate events.

And don’t miss our Sunday Roast: dry-aged beef, beef-dripping potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and bone marrow gravy—something like a Thanksgiving dinner every Sunday.

Sundays at Hawksmoor are all about our Sunday Roast: all-natural, dry-aged, slow-roasted Rump served with crispy beef dripping potatoes, Caraflax cabbage and carrots, gigantic Yorkshire puddings, lashings of bone marrow & onion gravy and the option for a side of cauliflower cheese or slow-roasted bone marrow and onions. Sunday Roast dates back to the 15th century where large joints of meat were roasted on a spit over an open fire; to achieve a similar flavor, we start ours on our charcoal grill and finish them in the oven. Many who've had a Sunday Roast equate it to a Thanksgiving dinner – a comforting, filling meal that is best in the company of loved ones. And, should a Bloody Mary, or two, be consumed alongside it, who are we to judge?

Craving great food without the big bill? We’ve got you. Our team, led by Hawksmoor legend (and assistant general manager) Zach Ballard, has created a menu of top picks that'll hit the spot without hurting your wallet. From Steak Frites for just $25 to the Notorious B.E.E.F Burger, $2 Oysters, cocktails (all $13 or less), and even a meal deal that’ll leave you more than happy. The new Hawksmoor Happy Hour menu is available 7 days a week from 5 PM - 7 PM.

Have you heard of our Monday Wine Club? It’s a simple concept: bring any wine you like – doesn’t matter if it’s a first-growth Bordeaux or a bottle of Barefoot – and we’ll only charge you $10 corkage (for up to two bottles). Not sure what to buy? Take a stroll over to our neighbors at the Aqua Wine & Spirits store (they’re literally on the other side of the street) and they’ll help you choose something to make your meal pop. You can even call us ahead of time and ask one of our somms what they suggest.

Hawksmoor brings its London steakhouse reputation to Chicago, delivering a solid dining experience but falling short of claiming the city’s best steak title. The steaks are well-prepared and flavorful, though with Chicago’s competitive steakhouse scene, they don’t quite stand out as exceptional. For the price, the portion sizes of the sides could be more generous, as they feel a bit small compared to other steakhouses at this level. The burger is average—not bad, but nothing memorable either. On the positive side, the service is attentive and professional, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable meal. The cocktails, however, are the true highlight—expertly crafted and well-balanced, making them a must-try.

Drinks excellent, service excellent, design beautiful really enjoyed this place. Only drawback was half our steaks were overcooked or unevenly cooked. Everything else about the experience was great.

We couldn’t believe how good the happy hour food was! Highly recommend the steak frites, and Oscar provided wonderful hospitality.

Service is consistently gracious. Steak, burgers, fries (frites), potted beef and bacon - all delicious. Desserts are elevated. Fantastic spot.

First visit to Hawksmoor and will definitely return again soon. The highlights were the marrow and Vietnamese oysters, the gold fashioned, and scallops. Service was above and beyond from the moment we arrived.
