Hook and Hatchet Inn in Maidstone is a quintessential country pub, complete with a wonderful view of the fields, parking available for cars and a hitching post to tie your horse to – should you decide to come by horse, that is. Located on Church Road in Hucking, Hook and Hatchet Inn serves up a fantastic spread of classic and contemporary British cuisine, including a range of vegan and vegetarian dishes. Sunday roast?     Had a lovely time. Table of 13 so hard to cater for but the did cope well. A little slow on getting food out from the kitchen but I think this is because they wasn’t aware we were coming. (A staff member put it under the wrong date in the calendar, d’oh!) only a minor issue as they really did excel in making sure we were seen to. The roast dinner was amazing. Every plate was hot and the food was excellent. Looking forward to our next visit.

    Really good Sunday lunch. Very nice roast dinner. Staff were very friendly. Even on a day of bad weather it was full of customers which speaks for itself. Recommended.
