Hook & Ladder is the unexpected steakhouse you’d never thought you’d find in the historic, original firehouse of the Washington Fire Company. This is a one-of-a-kind Skybar experience allowing guests a close view of our 149 year old firehouse, bell tower and original stained glass windows. A unique cross between a chop house and Crudo bar, Hook & Ladder features Certified A5 Japanese wagyu beef that will melt in your month. Dry aged Steak offerings including 32 days dry aged Porterhouse (28oz), 32 days aged Tomahawk Ribeye (40oz) that will taste decidedly beefy, much like a rare roast beef, while also taking on subtler hints of other delicious flavors. Crudo uses the Japanese technique of curing the fish making it more tender and flavorful. Finishing it with lime, lemon, and soy; featuring Wild King Salmon, Japanese Madai, Hamachi and more. Enjoy the purest and fresh take on some classic cocktails.

Service A+ Drinks A+ Ambiance A+ Food A- I want to give this an A+ but my wife had the short rib which was “the best she has ever had” I ordered the Filet and while it was good it was not 8oz … not even close :) that being said the French Onion was excellent and the pecan tart for dessert 🤌

We got the valentines for two, it was such a a great value, I never double checked but it was also a better deal than originally advertised. We stayed at the hotel and I am planning to do it again next year.

Entertainment was great. There was a wonderful gentleman playing guitar and really brought culture to the bar area. Drinks were horrific, bar tender could not make a dirty martini to save her life. I ordered a kettle one dirty martini and got nothing but olive juice I requested a remake and the second was just as bad. The service was ok waiter was nice but none of our drink were cleared. At one point I got up and placed them on the bar myself. 😳. Food was subpar. Over experience was not good. I really wanted to love it there as hotel is stunning.

Pricey but excellent food. Waiter was very good but not overly friendly—took away bread and apps very fast but the main meal took a long time. Asked the restaurant for a birthday dessert and they did not do that for me.

I thought the service was very underwhelming. It was a pretty quiet Saturday night. The service seemed to be different at other tables. For being a steakhouse that did not have real steak knives. They could benefit adding more simple dishes in their menu. They offered a $99 burger but couldn’t make a more simple burger.
