My wife and I went here to celebrate her birthday with a $15 birthday coupon that she received three days ago. Everything was going great until a band started playing live. They started playing very loud. Luckily they did turn the volume down to a level that allowed us to hear each other if we spoke a bit loud (I'll attribute the music volume for our server bringing me the Salted Caramel Gooey Butter CAKE insted of the Vanilla Bean CheeseCAKE that I actually ordered). Then, when it was time for the check, the server wrote down the Coupon Code to adjust the check. She the came back and stated that we couldn't use the coupon since we already used it on November 14 (the date that my wife received the coupon). She did say that she would talk to the manager. When she came back, she said that the manager applied the coupon "ANYWAY". From that point until we left, the server was very cold and short with us, as though she thought we were lying and trying to rip them off. This end-of-meal experience ruined the whole birthday meal for my wife. My wife and I are very honest people. We've pointed out errors when we have been undercharged in the past. It made my wife very embarrassed and disappointed.

I was very disappointed with the new lobster Mac and cheese. While the description says it also has scallops and shrimp, there was one tiny single bite of lobster on top. For $21, I would not recommend. It should be called seafood mac and cheese vs false advertising as a lobster meal.

We always ask for Noah because he is a great server - even remembers our orders from our pre house visits!

Usually we have a good experience at Houlihan. But for some reason that night it was quite busy and the service for our dinners was very slow. I’m going to say this was a one off from our typical dining there. It was bad for our servers to keep up with the demand.

We sat down for a reservation at 515pm for my son’s 16th birthday dinner. The main issue was around the time it took to get our entrees. They did not arrive until 630pm. Also a few of the dishes including the meatloaf were cold. We decided to not complain because something was clearly going on with the kitchen. We have dined at Houlihan’s before and will return. My one recommendation is that if the kitchen is going down, the server should message that to his or her tables to manage expectation and acknowledge that there is an issue.

After not being able to get a reservation for a big party at one popular restaurant, I called Houlihans. Karen, the catering manager, was amazing. She worked with me to reserve space for our party of 20 on a busy Saturday evening. Our table was ready when we arrived and the service could not have been better. The food was amazing, as always, and a great time was had by all.
