My wife and I joined friends for dinner at House 406. I had never been there before. My wife had been there once before and our friends had not been there for a long time. We were all impressed. I had the Whitefish, which was excellent, but may have had a bit too much Horseradish-Parmesan sauce on it. My wife had the Salmon and she loved it. Our friends both had the burger, which looked awesome and they said that it was. We were very impressed with the Onion Rings -- delicious! Service was good, not great. The noise level increased greatly as more tables were filled. House 406 is now on our radar. We will be back so I can try the burger!

We absolutely adore House 406! The food is consistently incredible, and as a cocktail enthusiast, I’m always impressed by their expertly crafted drinks. What truly sets it apart, though, is the intimate atmosphere — the cozy, small space creates a special vibe, reminiscent of the charming boutique restaurants you find in places like Chicago and New York. House 406 has earned my highest recommendation — it’s exactly the kind of spot the suburbs could use more of!

Food was delicious. Menu options were a bit limited, as well as cocktail options. But they do have a good spirit variety so you can ask to have just about anything done. Great experience overall.

Good cocktails, good service, nice relatively quiet room with smaller room. Very nice LOOKING decor. However, the chairs were wobbly and the chair seats were sagging. It felt like sitting in a hammock. That was a perfect example of the whole experience. Looks great, but turns out all sizzle and no steak. Buratta and pear appetizer was SUPER sweet. Tasted like dessert. Stuffed pork tenderloin was overcooked. Duck breast was marinated or seasoned in something weird that gave it the flavor of an Oscar Mayer hot dog. We went on Valentine’s Day, so maybe the menu and work flow was just too much. Honestly most holiday meals seem to go that way in many restaurants
