Ida Claire is a funky, southern influenced restaurant & bar open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is notched up southern but has influences from different regions. You’ll most likely see dishes you’ve heard of before but with little twists here and there.

Our sandwiches will be served on biscuits & we’ll have chicken & waffles on every menu. Brunch is obviously southern & will be a big part of what we do. The drinks are takes on classics like the Mint Julep but revved up & including a lot of house made ingredients.

We ordered all at once per the waitress request and ended up with appetizers and entrees at the same time. Made the meal go too fast and feel overwhelming. Complained several times to the waitress who glossed over complaints and treated it like a good thing. We ordered drinks. Sangria for my husband was boring, it’s not on the menu so we accepted the risk, was only wine and orange liqueur. I had the peachy keane which was the best thing I had tonight. The lazy Susan appetizer was ok. The pickled onions, fried green tomatoes were great. The cauliflower was uncooked and so crunchy it was not enjoyable. Jalapeño muffins were cold which was odd. The chips were good and pimento cheese was fine. I had the pork chop which was great but the whipped feta which I was looking forward to the most was underwhelming. The seafood pasta my husband got was not good. The peppers which were wonderful were lacking. We opted to skip dessert. Overall Ida Claire was more style than substance for dinner. I would skip but look forward to brunch in the future.

Everything was great once we were seated. My only complaint is that we made a reservation for 12:45, which was confirmed the night before. We arrived on time, however it took over 30 minutes to be seated.

Everyone at the table liked their brunch dishes but mine was the traditional breakfast with ham and biscuits/gravy. Ham was fine but the biscuits and gravy were a joke. Literally a spoonful on two small hard as a rock biscuits. Server was excellent in spite of a packed house. Be aware parking is an issue on Sundays as we drove around for awhile to find a spot only when someone left.

Love it . We will be back. Our waiter Chris was awesome and the Assistant manager very friendly. The bartender girl very refreshing. All over the entire place so friendly. Love the food the Pork chop is the best ever. Southern hospitality at it's best.

We were sorted right by the kitchen. The guy who plates the food/gets the food ready for the waiters was screaming and calling out each order. Very disappointed we couldn’t interact with our family members. It was super frustrating. The kitchen was slow. The food was great.

Had dinner with good friends. This was our first visit but not theirs. The cocktails (Paloma, lemon drop, margs) were excellent. Decided on the biscuits and cauliflower for apps and they were great. Warning - cauliflower was a little spicy but good. Entrees were delicious. I personally had the monte Cristo. Not exactly what I was expecting but really good. The sweet potato fries were a little crunchy. Sea Bass was a little salty for my husband’s liking. Service was a little slow but we were ok with it because we were talking and having a good time. It’s not often that either couple gets a night out with no kids so we took advantage of the slow service. Our waiter was very accommodating but not too accommodating. We definitely want to go back and try brunch

We love Ida Claire! The food’s great and the drinks are fabulous. What will make the experience perfect is to bring back the delicious Ding Dong Cake.

Skip! I'm glad you loved it! You're not the first to ask for the return of the Ding Dong cake, but while we mull it over make sure you came in and try that Vice cake! It's sinful!

The veggie quiche was good (bonus points for the buttery crust!) and the side salad featured a lovely fresh lettuce mix (and I subbed the green goddess dressing which I highly recommend...I even smeared some on my quiche to give it a needed boost of flavor!). My friend enjoyed her chicken and waffles but she was expecting a spicier kick from the Tabasco butter. Unfortunately our dessert choices were a bit of a letdown...I was really looking forward to finally trying the pull apart cinnamon roll but was sadly disappointed. While the warm toffee sauce was delicious and had the perfect level of sweetness, the cinnamon roll was quite dry, tough (most likely from overworked flour/dough) and lacked an adequate amount of cinnamon streusel filling. I thought I'd have a hard time not controlling myself from eating the entire thing but conversely, I was "done" after two bites. My friend had the seasonal cobbler and found the berries to be overly sugared which made for an overall cloyingly sweet taste. Our server was friendly and willing to accommodate special requests. Reservations are a must during peak dining hours!
