Il Gabbiano is an Italian Steakhouse brought to the historical waterfront district and neighborhood of the city of New Haven, Connecticut by Chef Valentino Stakaj owner of the city's iconic Adriana's on Grand Avenue and La Lupa in North Haven, Valentino has rebuilt the famous restaurant location at 501 Long Wharf Drive which overlooks the Long Island Sound. Monday to Sunday happy hour from 12:00-6:00pm drink and appetizer specials every day.

    Delicious restaurant week menu. Our waiter Bosco was awesome! The sea bass never disappoints and the tiramisu was perfectly light and yummy!

    The food is always impeccable and this time is no different. The fried calamari was crispy on the outside and warm on the inside. The shrimp tagliatelle was delicious in the pesto sauce. The bread was lightly toasted. The service was fast and attentive.

    Excellent dining experience in the water. Great Italian fare with several nightly specials. Waiter was professional. Helpful and had nice sense of humor. The setting was nice and vast majority of tables have a water view. Saturday night was crowded so reservations strongly recommended. Enjoy
