Imad Alarnab was a successful restaurateur in Damascus with three restaurants, plus several juice bars and cafes. In the war, Imad's restaurants were destroyed and he was forced to flee the country in search of safety for his family. Making his way from Lebanon through Europe, Imad shared his skills cooking for other refugees, up to 400 at a time, and found even in the most challenging times, his passion for food and bringing people together to celebrate life was strong.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in central London now. The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff are the kindest most helpful people, very very pleasant to deal with and always ready to help with a smile. The place is a little noisy, it can be a little difficult to talk at times. But other than that a nice and cosy venues. Prices are fair. Or to put it more realistically, compared to the shameful economics of any other restaurant in London, they definitely lean towards the “good value” side. If you’re well hungry you’re going to spend around £45 inclusive of one drink and service.

Delicious flavours and textures in all our dishes - lamb skewers and lamb kofte together with beetroot starter. Tasty warming spices. All food tasted very fresh. Service fab especially with Maria! Will highly recommend and definitely be back!

The food was overly salty and dissimilar to traditional Syrian cusine. Service below average Spend your money and enjoy Middle Eastern food in an authentic restaurant

Most delicious meal I’ve had in a long time. Service was so quick and our waiter Ali was the best, he couldn’t have looked after us better. We can’t wait to come back!

Didn’t give 5 as the place was a bit noisy. Food came so quickly that I wondered about the freshness of it all
