Blackpool has so many fantastic places to eat, but our delightful Palm Court restaurant is the place for a sumptuous, relaxing dinner. The Victorian dining room is full of grandeur and our restaurant team always go that little bit further to make serving a meal a magical experience.

The views in the restaurant are spectacular, with sweeping vistas across the Fylde coast and the occasional heritage tram tootling by. Diners can soak in the scenery while enjoying fine dining from the table d’hôte menu that changes quarterly, according to the seasons.

We also have a range of daily specials, with our chefs using locally sourced produce whenever possible to ensure that only the best and freshest ingredients are used. The restaurant has flexible seating arrangements, so we can cater for large parties and children are also well catered for, thanks to the family dining options.

At The Imperial, you aren’t just offered a pot of tea and a bit of cake; the experience is composed of many delicious elements (both savoury and sweet!) that you’ll love. Not to mention the professional and attentive service from our talented team. You’ll be served a small cup of soup and a hearty sausage roll in addition to sandwiches, scones and cake. The sandwiches are delicate and tasty on soft bread. There’s nothing “usual” about the sweet treats, either! There’s an array of bite-sized delights which have been lovingly prepared to really showcase the talents of our pastry chef and to really tantalise the palette. We have a wide range of enjoyable teas, but if you want a little more drama in your afternoon tea, we can add some fizz!

The food was poor. I ordered grilled chicken and chips. Chicken was nice but the chips were to few. My partner had Lamb Shoulder which was horrible. It was like a formed meat ball. There was no gravy with it. We definitely wouldn't recommend your restaurant.

Delicious afternoon tea. The staff were very friendly and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. I'll definitely be returning!

Served very quickly, lovely and warm. Starters delicious, sandwiches not so good, cakes very poor. Background music needed in such a large hotel. We ate in the Derby Room. Hotel is looking very tired though needs a good overall and clean.

Afternoon tea was lovely.food was really nice. Had box to bring home what we couldn't eat. Waiter was brilliant all way through. He even ran out after us as left glasses on table. Thankyou so much.

The food was very nice but we had come for afternoon tea and placed round a small coffee table that diddnt have enough room for everyone’s sandwich stands

It was very disappointing. On arrival neither of the receptionist knew where we should go, eventually one of the suggested we wait in that room over there (library to the stars). In this room there was a coffee table with a sign saying "reserved for afternoon tea". After waiting for a while a waiter walked in wanting to know why we hadn't booked in, we had! Eventually we we're served our afternoon tea. The food was good. The ambience was very poor. Sat on our own in a large room at a coffee table, the waiter had played some piano music on a tablet, it went off after 15mins. We asked for coffee with the desert part. The waiter seemed shocked/surprised even. We were asked "do you want a clean cup"!!!

Our waiter - I’m sure he was called Frank, Scottish bloke was amazing, nothing too much trouble, very attentive nothing too much trouble. Food was fab great value - kids loved it too. My only slight complaint would be that it was cold in the room, but I also appreciate how cold the current weather is and such a huge building to heat. Will be back

We reserved a table online for Sunday Lunch for 2 at The Imperial Hotel. Restaurant was very quiet and we had a lovely table overlooking the seafront. Service from the waiting staff was attentive and helpful. The roast dinner was lovely, with a choice of beef or pork and all the accompaniments. Sadly the dessert somewhat let the experience down. It is advertised as a "two course sumptuous menu with a complimentary salad bar and a beautiful dessert buffet". The complimentary salad bar was very understocked and underwhelming and the dessert buffet consisted of 3 dinner plates with a very small selection of cupcakes and brownies. If the dessert options had lived up to expectations it would be a much bigger score.

Restaurant was rundown and disappointing. Food wasn’t great in terms of flavour and I was a little disappointed considering the reviews. Restaurant feels very dated and like you’re in a school canteen. Single paned windows were draughty to sit next to

We had the Xmas afternoon tea on Sunday 15th December 2024 to treat our mothers and we were very disappointed. The last time I had an afternoon tea a few years ago it was amazing and been recommending it ever since as the best I had ever had and have been waiting to get back. This time was so disappointing after I couldn't praise my last experience enough to my friend, the food was amazing. Our waiter was lovely and so attentive (Jake) To start the filter coffee was awful and cheap quality, we asked if we could have a latte instead to be told we would need to pay extra, in fact everything about the food was cheap and very little filling in any of the sandwiches was really poor. The pastry was hard (I think it was suppose to be a quiche, the scones were hard and dry and the rest of the cakes were tasteless, the soup was lovely and the sausage roll was ok but was better first time around. wont be back and wont be recommending anymore. I believe the kitchen staff/chef have changed and drastic cut backs on quality of food has also changed.
