Indian Gourmet is located in the London Bridge, just a stones throw away from the busy hustle and bustle of the historic Borough Market. It offers freshly cooked authentic home-style appetising, wholesome and real Indian food from different parts of India and Indian Sub-continent. The Sub-continent stretches from The Himalayas to the Indian Ocean, from the Arabian Sea to the Bay of Bengal. In addition, the menu consists of popular Indian street food and regional delicacies.

At Indian Gourmet, you can make a great start of the gastronomic tour of India without having to leave the table.

The interior is influenced by Indian rural homes - rustic look with muddy and woody effect, still minimalist and modern.

I was looking forward to seeing two friends that I hadn't met for a while, so we chatted and didn't give our order. Then a member of staff (male, mature East Asian heritage) approached us and told us we needed to hurry up with our order because they needed the table back. I asked why they didn't tell me this pretty important fact when we arrived. He said "We don't have to". I said: "What time are you kicking us out?" and raised my voice as I thought he was shouting too. I made a comment about his behaviour being really poor customer service, but he didn't back down, didn't apologise and left. I have no idea who this Customer Experience Hatchet Man was. He didn't introduce himself and spoke aggressively, disrupting our dining experience for several minutes. It was a seriously WTF moment and totally unnecessary as me and my friends left at about 8.15, before our 8.30 curfew/Kicking Out Time. The food? Yeah, it was pretty good, but from my point of view, it was ruined by this unwarranted intervention. Honestly, Indian Gourmet. Get your act together. If you were aiming for a really poor customer experience. Good job, you succeeded with cherries on the top.

The front of the restaurant is quite deceptive - a narrow front, nothing special on Borough High Street, but inside is a different ball game. Relaxed and stylish. Super friendly welcome, excellent service, wonderful food. We came on a work trip for 8 people and was an excellent evening- thank you!

A fantastic meal tonight. As usual the welcome was exceedingly friendly accompanied by great service. The food was exceptional with everyone saying how great their meals were, especially the fish and the lamb, which I always enjoy. This is a must visit restaurant near London Bridge serving traditional southern Indian food at its best and full of flavour at a very reasonable price. Thank you !!

Great restaurant in SE1. Food was very good although bit pricey. They had a locked door policy which was strange but I suspect it’s for security reasons. Will visit again

Rest assured, our prices are very competitive and in comparison more value than other established Indian restaurants around the area in Central London. As for the doors, more so than security it is keep the wind out that has direct impact on the table where you were sitting and the ones next to it every time the door is opened .
