insideOUT is Hillcrest's elevated restaurant and lounge, and San Diego's only urban oasis! We are an 18+ venue.

Reservations for our upcoming "Sweetheart Experience" are now open! The Experience will be February 5th - 16th!

Our menu is curated by Executive Chef Johnny Duran and is updated seasonally to reflect his creative approach to California-Mediterranean inspired fare, using the freshest ingredients provided by our local purveyors.

Aside from our impeccable hospitality, insideOUT is known for their over-the-top seasonal experiences. We also provide customized private event planning with venue buyout options. More information can be found on our website.

    The place is absolutely beautiful... It was such a nice decoration and pretty place.. The energy of the ambiance place is so energetic.. Our waiter is very tentative and always checking on us making sure that we got everything.. The food is not really upto hype.. I think I can be able to have a better food in places with the price they have... The price is a bit pricey.. but overall the experience is absolutely wonderful and magical.. I wish they will bring back the Alice in Wonderland Theme coz that is absolutely 💯 legitly amazing... I highly recommend the place to check it out.. I cant wait for the winter/Holiday to come for me to check the holiday theme..

    We came for drinks/apps. Loved the ambience & service, it was a 10/10. The charcuterie board was underwhelming, 4 out of 10. Would not order this item again. Bread sticks were delicious. Brussel sprouts were very good as well. Had a wonderful experience.

    We had a great dinner celebrating an anniversary with my partner. The ambiance and setting was special, along with great service. The food was great as well, we definitely recommend the braised spring lamb. Our server Michael did a fantastic job and made our celebration.

    Always have a great time at inside out! Great staff great drinks wonderful food. However I still miss your pasta bolognese. I hope you all bring that back.

    InsideOUT was a great find! From the reception to the interior decor to the service and then, the food. They were all exceptional! We are sure to return and highly recommend it to everyone!! The belle of the ball was their Australian Hot Stone. Amazing!!
