JaBistro is a Japanese restaurant that is located in downtown Toronto, mere blocks away from Roy Thompson Hall and Nathan Phillips Square. The modern and sleek restaurant offers indoor as well as outdoor seating in the late spring and summer months. JaBistro is a contemporary space that is decorated with brick accent walls, booth style seating, sophisticated dim lighting and an oversized bar.

Guests of JaBistro enjoy the multitude of options available on the lengthy menu. Well-known choices include Salmon Oshizushi, Lobster Miso Soup, Kama, Ebi Oshizushi and Wagyu Oshizushi. The restaurant offers lunch, dinner along with an impressive list of wine and drinks.

I’ve been going to Jabistro for the last couple of years; the service and the food never disappoint me. You guys make the best aburi. The lady who served me is so kind and great at her job (love her after-sale service as well ;) ). Thank you!!

Cute and cozy! The sashimi, nigiri and aburi were all delicious. Very enjoyable experience. Great toro. Very good service.

Dear JaBistro Team, I had a wonderful dining experience at JaBistro on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 6:30 pm. As a Vietnamese-born Canadian living in Mississauga, I always appreciate the opportunity to enjoy high-quality Japanese cuisine in Toronto. From start to finish, everything exceeded expectations. Sophie-san provided exceptional service, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. She was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive to details, and made the evening even more enjoyable with her friendly and professional demeanour. The 5-Course Menu was outstanding. The lobster miso soup had a rich, comforting depth of flavour, setting the perfect tone for the meal. The premium sashimi platter showcased the freshness and precision that JaBistro is known for, with each piece carefully selected by the chef. The aburi selection was a true highlight—each piece was perfectly seared, enhancing the natural flavours of the ingredients. The nigiri selection maintained the same high standard, offering a well-balanced variety of premium cuts. Finally, the yuzu sorbet with sake jelly was a refreshing and delightful way to end the meal, cleansing the palate with its light citrusy notes. The entire experience at JaBistro reaffirmed why it remains one of Toronto’s top destinations for Japanese cuisine. I truly appreciate the dedication of the team, from the chefs to the front-of-house staff, in delivering such a memorable dining experience. I look forward to returning soon and will gladly recommend JaBistro to anyone seeking an exceptional sushi experience in Toronto. We loved our experience at Jabistro. The quality of the food and service were exceptional. It is a bit pricey if you order multiple plates so maybe eat a light snack before going. I highly recommend and I will be returning.

Dear JaBistro Team, I had the pleasure of dining at JaBistro in Toronto on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 7:15 pm to celebrate your 12th Anniversary Tasting Menu and Lobster Sashimi Platter. As a Vietnamese-born Canadian residing in Mississauga, I always appreciate discovering exceptional Japanese dining experiences, and JaBistro truly delivered. From the moment I arrived, the warm and professional service made the evening even more enjoyable. Sophie-san, my server, was attentive and knowledgeable, ensuring that each dish was presented beautifully and explained in detail. Her hospitality made the experience even more memorable. The 12th Anniversary Tasting Menu was an absolute delight. The lobster miso soup had a deep, umami-rich flavour, setting the tone for an incredible meal. The premium sashimi platter showcased the chef’s expertise, with each piece of sashimi tasting incredibly fresh and expertly cut. The aburi selection was perfectly seared, highlighting JaBistro’s signature touch. The nigiri was simply outstanding—each piece, from the rich o-toro to the luxurious wagyu topped with foie gras, was a testament to the quality of ingredients and craftsmanship. Ending the meal with the refreshing yuzu sorbet with sake jelly was the perfect palate cleanser. The Lobster Sashimi Platter was another highlight. The lobster was incredibly fresh, with a natural sweetness that stood out. It was evident that only the highest quality seafood was used. I also want to extend my gratitude to Riku-san for the kind message on OpenTable. It is always a pleasure to dine at a restaurant where the team truly values their guests. JaBistro continues to set the standard for Japanese cuisine in Toronto, and this anniversary menu was a perfect celebration of the artistry and dedication behind each dish.
