Dr Jajoo is the owner and founder of Jajoo Indian Street Food. His ambition in life was to share his passion of real Indian food and provide a dining experience of authentic Indian cuisine that is healthy, often plant based and packed with flavour. He took his inspiration from the simple regional street foods of India which are credited by some as shaping the country’s food culture.

Street food in India is eaten at the roadside by all economic classes and cuts across barriers of class, religion, gender and ethnicity. Dr Jajoo firmly believes in this principal that eating food together is one of life’s simple yet memorable pleasures to be enjoyed and treasured by all.

Our family had a very enjoyable evening at Jajoo in Hale on Friday, November 8th. The relaxed and comfortable atmosphere made for a perfect dining experience — relaxed ambience, not too noisy, just right for conversation. The food was light and packed with flavour too, with excellent options for vegans and vegetarians. Luke, who took care of us, was genuinely pleasant and attentive. If you're looking for tasty Indian street food with a chilled atmosphere, Jajoo is definitely worth a visit. Easy to book online too.

Visited on Friday night and the service from the moment we entered to the moment we left was appalling. At one point we had our food delivered by someone who was eating in the restaurant but was helping the owner out ! Took an age to get our first drinks delivered had to ask for food, no cutlery delivered with main courses, no serving spoons. The main course was delivered on a tray and left at the end of the table so we had to work out who's was who's. The food was average at best. Very disappointing indeed. Seams that they were more interested in getting the takeaway delivery's out of the door than serving the people sat in the restaurant.

Food not great. Nice sheek kebab but that's about it! Momos cold in the middle. Currys bland and prawns spongy as think they were frozen! Sub standard food! Service mediocre at best. Would not return!

My husband and I visited Thursday evening and we were the only ones in the restaurant all night. The food was the best we’ve had for a while. Service was friendly (not warm) but good and not rushed at all. Again, the food was sensational!

Food was amazing, from vegetarian to meat dishes. All enjoyed. Meat so moist and tender. Was a quiet night as went mid week. We added on to our party which the restaurant we’re happy to accommodate. Service was great. Will go back next time at the weekend am sure service will be just as good Would definitely recommend, am going to also try the takeaway service.

My friend and I ordered 6 starter dishes to share. They were all delicious with different textures and tastes. Very helpful and friendly service. Can certainly recommend
