Located just outside the city of Chicago, Jilly's Café has been called a "North Shore Treasure" by Zagat's 2002 restaurant survey. Our French Countryside decor, handpicked flowers, and friendly wait staff make for an intimate and cozy atmosphere suitable for all kinds of occasions(NOW PATIO AVAILABLE,ASK FOR HOURS). Here authentic French food is served with an American twist making for enough dishes to keep our specials changing daily. We offer a Sunday brunch that carefully combines a traditional American brunch with French flavors, while champagne effortlessly flows throughout the course of the meal. Jilly's is available for private parties, and reservations are strongly recommended.

Our server was perfect, the best ! He commented that we seemed in love. We then said we were there for our anniversary and our convo was a treat for my Julia. His name was LUCAS ! He made the whole night wonderful for my Valentine. She had been there a long time ago with her mother and always loved the restaurant. We had been there also for yearly anniversaries. later - he brought out a dessert with candle - which was a surprise for my Valentine! Thank you Lucas !

We dine at Jilly’s fairly frequently and have always loved everything about the experience. The atmosphere is the closest to an authentic Parisian restaurant we have found. The food was incredible! My wife and I shared a seared foie gras and she had a huge French ribeye steak, tender and delicious (I got a couple of bites) with enough to bring home to our Bichon. I took a lighter route, with a unique lobster escargot as my next course, and then mushroom risotto. All new items for us and all terrific. Our server, Haydee was wonderful as well! A wonderful dinner as usual!

We had a 6:00 reservation on a Wednesday. When we walked in we were the only customers. A few other parties came in while we ate. We each had a class of wine from the extensive wine list. I had the venison. My wife had duck. Very good! Our server was friendly and efficient.

Jilly’s French Restaurant exceeded all expectations when I recently took my elderly parents out for dinner. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, inviting ambiance that set the tone for a truly memorable evening. The intimate, family-style charm of the restaurant makes it feel like a hidden gem in the neighborhood. The food was simply outstanding. The venison was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, and the gnocchi was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Each dish felt carefully crafted with attention to detail and a nod to authentic French flavors. The wine selection was equally impressive, featuring a thoughtful array of small-batch French wines that paired beautifully with our meal. The service was a standout feature. Our server was delightful, engaging, and attentive without being overbearing, ensuring every need was met with a smile. It’s clear that Jilly’s takes pride in providing not just a meal, but an experience. This small, neighborhood restaurant is perfect for intimate dinners, parties, and celebrations like birthdays. It’s rare to find a place that combines exceptional food, a welcoming atmosphere, and stellar service so seamlessly. I can’t recommend Jilly’s enough and will certainly be returning soon!

The food was just ok. They had French onion soup what day and it was actually horrible. Too much cheese and it was not really baked, just a bowl of goopy cheese and some broth. Definitely WON’T be going back
