Instead of just one chef, JOEY has a whole team of celebrated Executive Chefs bringing you an experience you can't get anywhere else. JOEY Uptown, boasts an open concept dining room that spans over 10,288 square feet, including a temperature controlled patio equipped with an outdoor bar. Stylized prints from Texas-based artist Jon Flaming, and animated LED portraits by Julian Opie, bring life and lightness to the entire space. This location fits Houston’s iconic food scene like a glove.

I was VERY disappointed with my experience 2/26/2025. Took my daughter for her birthday and family joined us. I spoke really highly of the restaurant only to have a bad experience. We felt rushed to order (service like chicken fil la). Server did not put in my food order, said i didn't order BUT told me what I order. Put a extra drink on the ticket, said the manager took it off brought the ticket back to me and when I told her there was no changes on the ticket and the drink was still on there she took her precious time about taking the ticket to the manager to correct it until she saw us leaving. My niece was trying to explain to the manager the concern but he was not interested. By this time I was so over it and was trying not to get upset because I was already annoyed and hungry. Lesson learned. My daughter enjoyed herself and that is what was important although I feel I should have taken her to the restaurant she requested but I was so confident in having a positive experience at Joey Uptown. Everyone enjoyed their food and I still left a tip although the gratuity was $85 and I didn't get to eat after paying $629.00 and not getting my food.

My cousin and I chose Joey Uptown as our Monthly luncheon and they didn't disappoint. Special shoutout to our server Madison her service was exceptional!!

BG: had a double birthday. Notes: they give everyone a complimentary champagne before being seated. 1x per person. What we ordered: Appetizers: -Japanese Gyoza ($15): 8/10 good sauce, solid dumplings -Tuna Yellowfin Salad ($29): 7/10 pretty normal raw tuna salad -Korean Fried Cauliflower ($16.5) : 8.5/10 tastes like a sweet n sour chicken, but it’s a veggie. Pretty good hiding the cauliflower taste. (I usually hate cauliflower) Entrees: -Steak with Lobster ($63.5) : 8.9/10 pretty darn good. The egg roll looking mashed potatoes was a different twist. Lobster tail was great. -Joey classic with Jumbo Crab Cakes ($60) : 7/10 solid steak & good flavor, but dry crab cake -Sushi and Steak (great deal: a sushi roll + an 8oz steak cut up in a bowl on the side) ($42) : 9/10 sushi great flavor & sirloin steak cooked to perfection. Dessert -Creme brûlée Cheesecake ($14) : Delicious 9.8/10 -complimentary birthday brownie cakes $0: 5/10 very dark chocolate bitter. Ambience was super pretty, staff was friendly, food was great. It was a good eat. I recommend if you’re around the area wanting a date night or with friends. I love that it opens till 12am. Our total came out to be (without tip) : $339

The restaurant itself is nice! Music selection wasn’t the best, but decent. The parking is CRAZY! Save yourself some time and valet park. It was only $12.00 on a Sat. Night.

We came in for Galentine’s and Miguel went above and beyond, if you stop in hopefully you’re in his section!! The food was great, restaurant wasn’t too loud and A+ service!
