Great gem of a place, have been to the Dalston restaurant numerous times and had to try this one, and it didn’t disappoint.

We were in the snug which was nice in that we could easily talk and hear each other but lacked atmosphere as we were by ourselves away from all the other diners.
The food was nice. And the airing staff were attentive.
Would go again, not on a Sunday and would book a different table.

The restaurant was very quiet only 3 tables were taken. There was a huge puddle of water on the floor in the middle of the restaurant. The service was terrible, we had to keep getting up from our table to find the waiter for drinks. My starter was pear and walnut salad, I had to send it back as no walnuts in it, then it came back with 1/2 a crushed walnut in it, at a cost of £10, no way. Restaurant deducted the cost of it, I couldn't eat it. The dressing tasted as if it was made from old oil. Main course however was a great success, one of the best pieces of steak I've ever had. Would I go back? No. Shame as we need a good restaurant near us.
