The sister restaurant to Austin fine dining institution Jeffrey’s, offering breakfast, lunch, brunch, happy hour, dinner & Monday night steak frites. The Clarksville cottage features a small marble bar for coffee or cocktails, intimate tables in the dining room, shady nooks on our patio and a grassy front lawn for lounging.     Everyone was extremely nice and everything on the menu was delicious and surprisingly large portions. A really great dining experience, we will definitely be back.

    The meal felt rushed. We had a reservation at 6:30, my son arrived first (6:10?) and we completed the party at 6:25 and stayed until 8;07. The main meal came out before my mother had finished her salad and I heard the manager explaining several times to others that we had the table because we had soecified an indoor reservation. My mother (86 years old) was expected to sit on a bench. She almost fell off! and I had to request a proper chair be put at the end of the table.. I also found it odd we were seated at a table for 8 (there were only 3 of us) although I had made the reservation several weeks prior and it would have made much more sense to put two smaller tables together .It was like they were not expecting us to show up? (I had confirmed my attendance 24 hours earlier). We usually sit outside. on the patio. After this experience I think we will only die at Josephines in spring and fall. Food was good as usual, and other than the problem with the table arrangements and rushing, everything else was fine.

    Service was very slow. Our server ignored us. Food was good. Dinner definitely not as good as brunch.

    One of the best birthday breakfasts I’ve had in a while. Everything was perfect from the food to the service. Benjamin J made the experience even more special with how attentive he was. I had the steak & eggs with a Merit badge & it was (& I’m not just saying this because of my pregnant taste buds) EVERYTHING. The coffee cake after (I had some before as well lol) was a finishing touch. I highly recommend! Everything was fresh, I could tell the food was of high quality & I appreciated the intimate home setting.

    Josephine house did it right! This sweet spot was an upscale yet cozy setting for a chilly day off brunch. The breakfast croissant sandwich was delicious, flaky and fresh. The Nutella bun was so good it was rude! 😁 The Ricotta pancakes were soft & flavorful without being too sweet. Note cheap but you could taste the quality in even bite!

    Josephine’s is my go to brunch spot. When I need a personal pick me up, brunch with friends or brunch with my finance, Josephine’s is always my top pick. Their food is always top tier and they have the most beautiful people on their team. 10/10 recommended.
