In both 2022 and 2023, we received the prestigious Bib Gourmand accolade from the Michelin Guide, making us the first fully plant-based restaurant in Canada to achieve such a distinction.

    I have been to La Bartola on two separate occasions and it does not disappoint! The service is incredible - it’s what you want on a night out but seems few and far between these days. The quality and flavours of the dishes are remarkable and thought of long after the visit. Thank you for creating an enjoyable environment that caters to plant based diets!

    Fabulous dinner at La Bartola for my vegan son’s 25th birthday. Excellent professional service by Santana. We had the tastings menu 7 courses - fun way to experience the food. They kindly put a candle in my son’s dessert and brought him a free celebratory glass of sparkling wine without being asked. They also rescheduled our dinner with no problem to a different day with less than 24 hours notice when my son’s flight home was cancelled. All staff and ambience are very charming.

    Had a great dining experience. Wait staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Great insights into the dishes and how they are made. As someone who isn’t vegan it was great to understand the actual way the dishes are otherwise made and see the alternatives that were employed to suit the dishes being vegan. Loved it, would definitely visit again.

    Excellent Food. So Many amazing Flavors. Very unique. Also as a plant based eater I find the usual Canadian Fair very heavy when chefs try to emulate cheese with Cashews etc, but this was not heavy. The staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful in their explanations. Overall great quality food, ambience and great value.

    The atmosphere at this place was great,cozy and inviting, which made for a pleasant evening. We enjoyed the overly priced drinks. The food experience was a bit of a mixed bag. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, but unfortunately, the flavours didn’t quite hit the mark. A few of the dishes lacked depth, and the overall taste felt repetitive. We were a group of four, and a few of the plates were served in portions for just three people, which made sharing difficult. It was disappointing that they didn’t offer a fourth portion or try to accommodate that need. If you have dietary restrictions, particularly if you're gluten intolerant or follow a plant-based diet, this could be a great spot for you. However, for the rest of us, I left feeling underwhelmed. The food didn’t seem to offer much variety or distinction in flavour. Overall, while the vibe was nice, the food didn’t live up to the expectations.
