Located at 699 14th Street on the coveted corner of 14th and G Street NW, La Grande Boucherie is situated on the most high-profile street in Washington D.C., just one block away from the White House. The restaurant is built in elegant and ornamental Art Nouveau style, evoking the sense of optimism from the turn of the 20th century. The brasserie’s menu features both classic and modern French dishes, with focus on the meat program, raw bar and extravagant large-format meats, ideal for sharing and celebrating. Mahogany wood and glass partitions divide the gargantuan space to create intimate dining experiences. These pieces are adorned in gilded accents and uniquely curved arches inspired by the 20th-century Art Nouveau movement of Paris. The main dining room highlights a massive curved bar with a metal top imported from Paris, a signature piece of Boucherie.

                My second time coming to this place and it was amazing once again. Thank you Bolade Burton for taking great care of me on both occasions. Food and service always on point. Of course Ill be back again for a 3rd visit.

                Amine was our server, and he was incredible!! Attentive, friendly, and full of great recommendations. I had the filet with green beans paired with the Chardonnay Amine suggested, and it was amazing. The atmosphere felt like something out of a movie—very old-school and charming. Everything was perfect! I highly recommend asking for Amine for outstanding service and recommendations.

                My fiancé and I came here with our families to celebrate our engagement and we could not have asked for better service. Moussine made the night spectacular and made us feel special! We will definitely be coming and asking for Moussine. 10/10 experience

                We were very excited to see the holiday decorations, but overall experience was just fine. Far too expensive for the quality of service. Arrived 5 minutes early for our reservation at 6:45 and weren’t seated until 7, though many people with 7:00 reservations were seated ahead of us (they checked in immediately ahead of us). We were seated by the bar which was fine but noisy, and there were other tables that might have been further out of the bustle. True to the French style, our table was also incredibly close to our neighbors, and I felt like we were dining with them rather than the private anniversary dinner it was supposed to be. Service during was fine, nothing standout and we were often forgotten, having to ask multiple times for additional bread. We were seated immediately next to a bussing station, and there were some staff issues occurring, which we overheard all of the heated disagreements clearly; not the best environment while having a special dinner or great optics for the restaurant. For the price, I’d much rather go somewhere that has a better experience. Gorgeous building and decor though.

                Was there for to celebrate a big birthday for a two older men and seems no one read the notes on the reservation so we first were ask to sit right by the Kitchen when I asked to sit upstairs in my reservation. The soup was warm (not hot), had to send it back. escargot was not hot ust warm. Ribeye was middle well when I asked for rare but I just ate it as the Waiter never around/ to busy. the coffee was not hot. They need to upgrade their staff service for such a beautiful elegant place. Just have staff check in on your dinning experience so you aren't looking around. Just not up to pair. Disappointing

                Such a beautiful experience! The ambiance was amazing, the music was so pleasant and the food was great! The holiday decor made it feel like a winter wonderland. Definitely worth the price tag! Truly recommend ! Thank you to Steven!

                Gorgeous environment. Maitre’d did not greet & continued conversing with colleague as we waited to be checked in. Cool booth table in top level which was comfortable but the noise level made it challenging to have conversation . Great server who was really making an effort to take care of us but had too many tables to manage. Ordered 3 appetizers 2 of 3 were cold and subpar quality. Luckily the Drinks were tasty. Main dishes were overall just okay. Bland, tough & cold Beef bourguignon. Branzino fine but barely warm. Burger was the only remarkable entree. Fries cold. Brussels sprouts good. Gouda Macaroni blah & cold. Wine came 20minutes after Main course, wasn’t the bottle we ordered and was not what we were expecting and $20 more. Our family’s 3rd visit to this restaurant and love the decor but the food continues to disappoint. Server was nice and helpful but harried & scrambling.

                We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and my parents anniversary. The staff at La Grande Boucherie made it an extra special occasion with a champagne toast of the evening followed by excellent service throughout. The food was delicious, and the ambience was perfect. We will be back.
