Located at 699 14th Street on the coveted corner of 14th and G Street NW, La Grande Boucherie is situated on the most high-profile street in Washington D.C., just one block away from the White House. The restaurant is built in elegant and ornamental Art Nouveau style, evoking the sense of optimism from the turn of the 20th century. The brasserie’s menu features both classic and modern French dishes, with focus on the meat program, raw bar and extravagant large-format meats, ideal for sharing and celebrating. Mahogany wood and glass partitions divide the gargantuan space to create intimate dining experiences. These pieces are adorned in gilded accents and uniquely curved arches inspired by the 20th-century Art Nouveau movement of Paris. The main dining room highlights a massive curved bar with a metal top imported from Paris, a signature piece of Boucherie.

                      Beautiful restaurant! Food was ehhh.. there are better places to have french food and its expensive. Might go back for a drink but thats about it..

                      The food was mediocre and over priced. The menu did not include all of the ingredients which is unacceptable for people with food allergies.

                      This was our second dinner at the restaurant in two weeks, and unfortunately, we were not impressed with the food quality or the service. The appetizers, including the onion soup, beef tartare, and salads, were enjoyable and decent. However, the main dishes we tried—steaks, beef bourguignon, chicken, and others—were meant to be tender and flavorful but fell short. The meat was quite chewy and lacked flavor. Additionally, our server made a few mistakes, which we could overlook, but we were faced with an unexpected charge of $250 on the final bill for food we didn’t order.

                      I had wanted to try this place awhile and went for brunch today! Location is beautiful, service very good, food was plentiful for the high prize they charge but was nothing impressive! I personally was disappointed the steak and œufs was drenched in a very salty sauce! Very disappointing!

                      Beautiful space and impeccable service. Food very good although filet mignon was not typical of the cut in used to. There was a progressive jazz band that was so loud in the main dining room that we requested to be moved as far away as possible. Tall ceilings/acoustics partly responsible but music overwhelmingly loud and incongruous to the elegance or the room. Maybe this is just on weekend nights but I would not return before knowing about the music beforehand.
