La Matera refers to the container in which Mate is consumed. Actually, "La Matera" doesn't mean this, but we created this name referring to it. In Argentina, we call Mate both the infusion made from its leaves (caffeinated herbal beverage) and the container in which it is consumed, with the most common one being the gourd, although there are many different models made from various materials. It is consumed using a bombilla (metal straw with a filter), removing all the tea leaves to leave only the delicious and refreshing taste of this infusion.
It represents unity and sharing, helps socialize, facilitates the creation of bonds, extends or promotes conversations, shortens distances, helps create intimacy, relaxes, and informalizes. It serves as an excuse to meet up: "It's typical to say, 'Do you want to come and have some mate?'"
We were welcomed graciously. We sat outside because it was a bit noisy inside.
Our waiter was friendly and helpful.
All four of us enjoyed our choices.

We have been visiting this restaurant since it open and we love the food. The meat and steaks and appetizers are all excellent.

I went to La Matera with my wife and kids, and we had an excellent experience. The service was outstanding—fast, attentive, and very welcoming. The meat was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious, and the desserts were just as amazing. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place for a great meal and excellent service!

This is our 4th or 5th time in this wonderful restaurant. Service was exceptional and outstanding. Our waiter was Juan who was friendly and skilled. Food was incredible. We had a beef flatbread which was delicious. My grandson and I shared the seabass which melted in our mouth. Mashed potatoes delicious. My wife ordered a steak which was medium broiled and was delicious as well. A great restaurant!

Very loud place. The food was really not up to our expectations. From the appetizer, we got the short rib bbq, the meat was inexistent and the bbq sauce was so overpowering. They served us a big piece of fat! It was disgusting and unacceptable. For main course, we ordered the center cut and the tomahawk. Both were so tough and not even tasty. Big disappointment. You can tell that nobody is running this business and that the chef should go home instead of running this kitchen. Really a disappointing experience...

Great dinner choice!
We went there with friends and the four of us enjoyed the meal, ambience and value!
The food was excellent: fresh salads, crispy fries, meats cooked as ordered. Generous portion sizes from appetizers to dessert (four of us shared two desserts)

The steak was one of the best we ever ate. The waiter had great patience and gave great suggestions.
We ate outside, so the noise level was nonexistent and the ambiance was very pleasant. It’s a lovely place and I highly recommend it.
